I called their 24 hour line around midnight, and was transferred by the dispatcher to a tech. The tech said he was too tired to complete any more work that evening. It was late, so when he said they would call me back around 7:30 am in the morning to send someone out when they open up at 8 am, that was fine. Plus, I would be avoiding the overtime charges. The call comes in, they said they need to setup my account before they can send someone out, seems reasonable, but they had all my information that was given to dispatch the night before. At this point I'm still thinking that someone is on their way. I get a another call 12:49 pm, they are calling me to put me on the schedule for this afternoon if I'm willing to pay overtime rates, even though it would be scheduled during normal business hours. This call supremely irritated me, because I had not gone to work because I was led to believe that a tech was going to already be out this morning when they opened. Now, I find out they don't have a time for me yet, and no matter what they are going to charge me overtime rates. I asked for the boss, Brett the boss said you should have scheduled with all the other companies and cancel the others when the first one arrives. Since I wasn't on another companies schedule I really wanted him to make this right by at least guaranteeing me a time this afternoon. He would not do that. So made the mistake of expecting them to show up. I didn't realize that one is expected to make appointments with all the HVAC companies in Wichita and take whoever shows up first. Now I missed work and still have no AC, and still am not on any companies schedule. They price gouge charging OT rates all day if you want to agree to get on the schedule in the next week after being led to believe they would be out already that morning. Lesson learned: schedule appointments with as many companies as you can find and cancel after one show up. <-- not how I do business but it is what they expect.

We have had a service contract with Comfort Systems for 20+ years and have always had excellent service. This was no different. They set us up with emergency heaters since it was very cold that night, and had the new system up and running the next day.

We called at the beginning of a holiday weekend (Friday evening) and asked them to call back on the first business day back (Tuesday). They called at 9:40 AM and were at the house by 11:00 and finished by 11:45. The technician was polite and efficient. He found the initial problem but also noted a piece of equipment that had been a "make-do" solution and fixed it with the appropriate item. Everything was put back where it belonged. I appreciated the promptness and attention to detail.
I have used Comfort Systems at the business I managefor many years and will continue to call on them for my home as well.

Found a disconnected wire in the outside unit. Possibly caused by a rodent. Had us back up and running in about 30 minutes. $90 service call and $35 to reconnect the wire. Also came inside to check my overall HVAC set-up and determined all was in good working order.

On 9/05/2013, Fahenstock Heating and Air serviced my air conditioner to address a coil freeze problem. Fahenstock identified that my refrigerant was 1.8 pounds low and charged my ac. They then checked for leaks and found several leaks in my evaporator coil. They rounded up on the charge for the Freon (which does not seem fair given how expensive it is) and charged me $305 for the service call. The estimate to replace the evaporator coil from Fahenstock was $1200. I contacted Comfort Systems for a second opinion and estimate. They were very responsive and came in substantially lower then Fahenstock.

It was installed well and so far it has been good; it is running fine. The hot water was a little bit high but they are coming to turn that down today. Other than that everything was fine. They were very efficient, professional, and they answered all our concerns. They were very quick to get to the job. From the time we decided the purchase to the time it was installed, it was about seventy two hours.

Comfort Systems came out for routine a/c maintenance and noticed the (aged) furnace had holes in it and was leaking carbon monoxide. They worked with us to recommend a replacement furnace that was a quality product within a price range we were comfortable with. They were very open minded....no pressure. They actually gave us 5 estimates and configurations to choose from, including an option to remove and install a newsw A/C unit at the same time. After installing the new heater, heatercoil and dicts, the gave me the afternoon to paint the wall vents in a color to match my decor, and came back the next day to install those, finish the A/C maintenance (at no charge) and arrange for the city inspector. they are great. highly recommended whether for a service call, routine maintenance or a new system (heat or air) installation!

The job performed by this company was as expected and up to standards. They arrived within the designated timeframe and properly performed the necessary repairs in a timely manner. Price was just fair. No complaints from me and I would use this company again.
