-The owner does not return our phone calls for days
-The granite is installed and it is not the extra inch, it looks like crap, it does not line up with the backsplash. This is not a professional job at all. The wall will now have to be repainted because there is a big white spot were the wall was not painted. It cannot be fixed or hidden, it just does not look right. It's so disappointing!
-The countertop is not level and there is a 3/4 to 1 inch gap between the countertop and granite. They just shoved wood pieces in between to level it and then told us that we would have to figure out a way to fix it. My husband and I searched all over town until we found the right trim to hide it. We stayed up all night fixing this problem. I am still confused as to how this became our problem to fix? I would assume that an experienced business would be able to tell you that you had an unlevel countertop and then discuss your options. Instead we were just told "sorry, not our problem."
-They forgot to drill one of the holes for the kitchen faucet. They came back the next day and used a grinder to drill the hole and it busted the granite on the underneath side. Because of the breakage the facuet handle could not be installed tightly. We were told someone would come back the next day in the morning to glue the piece. No one showed up the next day. At this point we had already gone 10 days with no running water in the kitchen, we needed this fixed immediately. We called the owner numerous times and left messages. He did not call us back for 7 days.
-The employee told me he was not the best at polishing the seam and the owner's son was going to come out either the next day or Monday to finish polishing the seam. No one ever showed up the next day or that Monday.
At this point, my husband decides to fix the facuet hole himself and restore running water in our kitchen. We stop calling the owner because he never returns our calls. Given the owner does not know we fixed the facuet ourselves, surely he will see the urgency of getting this fixed. Did not happen!
The owner takes no responsibility for anything that has gone wrong. We asked that his priced be lowered or recut new granite pieces that have the correct mesurements and are not busted. He told us "no" because we were not upset enough the day of the install and we are just upset because it took him so long to call us back. He takes no pride in his work! Don't be fooled! Buyer beware getting what you paid for is no always the case. Also, make sure that if you are doing business with the company that you get every little detail written on your contract. The owner uses a very vague contract and requires a 50% down payment. Both red flags!
