Bruce's Tree Service

Bruce seems knowledgeable about trimming trees. We had him trim our trees and he did a great job. Although at times, he seemed to be in a hurry and was not being careful about where limbs landed. Everything looked okay when he was done and he cleaned the limbs up and hauled them away to our dump using a key we checked out for him. His bucket truck broke down when he was leaving, so he parked it on the street next to our house and went back to Wichita. We did not hear anything from him until he called to say we should not have written the payment check out to the business, but to his name. He said he was forced to open a business bank account because of how we wrote the check. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable about doing business with him. The real kicker and the reason I rated him poorly on professionalism was that his truck sat in front of our house for three weeks before he came with a mechanic to pick it up. I live near a school and during drop-off and pick-up time the huge bucket truck caused a bit of traffic congestion, because the road was essentially down to one lane. The truck left a huge puddle of oil, which was not on our property, but still an eyesore. I think he did an okay job on the trees, but the other issues make me hesitant to use him again.
