I used this company a couple of times when our heating or a/c went out as they were who the original owners had used. They replaced an a/c unit for us when the old one died, but I later found out when it needed a major repair that a) the unit was not under warranty as the installer hadn't sent in the paperwork for it, but that it had been installed incorrectly, was not up to code, and the coolant had not been added properly, causing us to need an expensive repair only a couple of years later that should have been covered by a warranty, but that we had to pay for out of pocket. Also, when our furnace broke, I was informed that the problem was very serious and potentially deadly and would cost $2000 to fix. Something about the exchange just gave me a bad feeling, so I called for a second opinion. It turned out that the issue he had "found" was fine, and that the real problem was a loose screw that was allowing air into the unit. In two minutes a new screw was screwed in and our problem was fixed for $80. We also discovered that previous work that had been done was again no to code/not done properly and had to be fixed. I would not call this person again. We have had far more success with other businesses, and I feel confident that they are doing the job right.

Was persuaded by the serviceman to go ahead with the repair even though I questioned the cost of $235 to repair an older washer, knowing that I could replace it with a brand-new washer for approx. $450. He said the newer washers wouldn't be as reliable as my older one so I should repair it. The repair was the R & R drive, which I didn't know what that was and just took his word for it.
I actually only joined Angie's list five years ago with the specific intent of writing a review for this company and then time passed and I never did. I was cleaning out my old tax boxes today and found the invoice and again got agitated enough to go forward with the review as I feel like I was totally cheated and misguided and want the public to know about my experience. Because the repair took less than ten minutes, I looked up the part that was used to do the repair the next day and it was only $13.95, yet I was charged $257.10. When I called to speak to management, they would not return my calls. BEWARE!

Provider agreed to call 20 minutes before arrival so we could meet him at location of repair. He called at 11am stating "I'll be there in 2 minutes" .... when informed that it would be 20 minutes before we could get there he said, "just forget it then and hung up". The technician would not answer a return call and a call to Steve, the manager, got no results. When told that we were between a rock and a hard place because if they didn't come fix our oven today we'd have to wait another 2-3 days to schedule someone else his response was, "I don't care who you pick, why don't I refer you to someone else".
I think they just didn't want to take our small job today, perhaps they had bigger fish to fry. I've never had such a negative experience just trying to hire someone. I have no idea whether the quality of their repair would have been good or not, but we waited 3 days to get them here and now we have to start over.

my sister called to make an appointment to have her refrigerator serviced. At that time she asked about the cost and the company stated they were unable to give an amount until they looked at the refrigerator. She did notify them that she had a had coupon for 50.00 of the service call if I she had the part replaced by them.
The gentlemen came and was there and after 10 min stated that the thermostate was out and to replace it would 300.00 and that the part was 150.00 and he didnt have the part and would have to go get it.
He returned with 20 min with the part and replaced it.
After he left she noticed that he left the receipt of the replaced part that he had purchased from the part store and it was 35.00.!!!!!! And that time she did not receive the 50.00 credit for the service call.
She called several times regarding the price that they had determined. the part was 35.00 and they charged her 150.00 plus the service charge of 150.00 without a 50.00 dollar deduction for coupon. I was there and listened to the phone conversation and the man was rude. Saying he did not have a set price on services it just depended on what the technician decided on the work done. And told my sister is was basically her repsonsibility to show the coupon and to make sure the charges were done correctly. He then proceeded to say that he would reimburse the 50.00 which to this date he has not done so.
She said she would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and especially if they do not have a specific price for services and it depends on a technician to determine the cost. She felt that she was taken advantage of.

Heating and Air Conditioning Service
Our A coil was leaking on our a/c and we had this company out to service it. Originally they told me that only the A coil needed to be replaced, but I stupidly asked about the outside condenser unit as well. He said that ours was very old and that it would improve our house's re-sale value to replace it, but that it was not bad. I then asked how much it would cost to replace it and he told me $4200. I did not do any research and thought that that seemed reasonable. I later learned that our friends with the same size or bigger house were able to put in an entire new HVAC system for about the same price. I tried to ask the Appliance Doctor guy if he could give me a better deal and he told me he couldn't. Then, I asked if I could just replace the A-Coil and they said no because the condenser was bad, but when I reminded him that it was I who suggested replacing the condenser, he acted defensive. Then, he agreed to just replace the A-coil and once that was replaced and we turned our a/c on, it shorted out. We called up the Appliance Doctor a/c guy and he said that the condenser had just gone bad. I asked about the odd coincidence and he pretended like it just happens that way. Later, we had an electrician out who confirmed our suspicions that it most likely had something to do with the installation of the A-coil. At any rate, we ended up getting the whole A/c replaced because we were too nervous to bring another company into it, afraid that they might just point fingers.
