Second time we have used because friend recommended them. Anthony and Javen were good and professional and so careful that they didn’t risk damage to the table in an elevator that was slightly too small so instead they carries it down three flights of stairs!

Great! Three guys, big truck. Took everything, dropped off at new place. They even put my bed together!

Significantly under estmated the amount of time needed for the move and ended nearly doubling the price. Day of the move, they called to increase number of movers to 5 and added a truck. 4 of the 5 movers were very professional and conscientious, however, one was not. Ended up with substantial damage to several pieces of furniture, wall light fixture and door in the house. Boxes were not placed in correct rooms and due to the length of time of the move, large number of boxes just got left in garage. The owner was very apologetic and suprised at the damage saying it was very unusual. He tried to be fair with us and sent the damaged furniture and door out for repair at no cost to us.

There was a challenge getting it started up the stairs but they worked on it until they got it. They also worked with me to work me in in just a couple days.

The two workers were prompt, courteous, and experienced in their task. They accomplished the job in about 40 minutes and were on their way.

We relocated to Texas on 8/16. Called American Movers at the last minute to load the truck only. Jon gave a fair price - initially thought a little pricey, but we did call at the last minute, so we figured there was a little upcharge. Still very reasonable. We spoke to him and discussed what items we needed to obtain. Purchased three rolls of furniture wrap and 11 blankets for furniture. The truck was loaded, when unloaded at destination, the boxes were not secured, only 1 bookcase was wrapped and three furniture pads not used. The following issues were noted: 1. Boxes packed poorly 2. Gas from lawnmower on one of the mattresses 3. Antique armoire door cracked and off 4. Entertainment center scratched and wedged under other wood furniture 5. Dining table and two chairs with scratches 6. Metal racks on top of desk My husband was at the house solo as I had already gone ahead. Two pieces of furniture he stated absolutely had to be wrapped - the antique armoire and the entertainment center. Neither were wrapped. Movers stated they used all the pads, so my husband pulled out sleeping bags for them. Later in the garage, found 6 unused furniture pads and pointed this out. After this, only 2 more were used. During unloading, took multiple photos and sent to Jon, the owner. Asked him to speak with my husband. Jon initially stated the work was not insured since his company did not cover the entire move. No where on the website is this mentioned. We signed no paperwork with his employees. Jon finally stated his men "did not have the proper equipment, so they did not know how to load the truck." This is ironic since we purchased everything he requested us to buy. After repeated conversations, Jon finally offered $135, then $200 in a refund. We rejected this, considering we have had to spend the following: 1. $788.05 for a new mattress, delivery and mattress pad (ruined in the move) 2. $95.16 in repairs to scratches on table, chairs and armoire 3. $627.00 for uhaul rental to bring other items that would have fit on the truck if proper packing and tie down would have been used. Eventually, we filed a complaint with the BBB which we are waiting a resolution for. Jon did seem like he wanted to help at first, but his story changed after the second phone call.

Juan and Kyle arrived earlier than scheduled and got right to work loading the truck. I left to go to closing and once they were done loading, they met me at my new place. They were quick to unload but very careful with my belongings.

Excellent service provided. The two guys were great don't remember there names but ask them who provided my service ask for them and you will not go wrong. Thanks to those guys!!!!???

The packing took longer than expected. More trips across town than expected. All the boxed items were in good order once unpacked, the problem was the labeling was too general. The boxes were labeled by room and if you needed something specific you had to open up all the boxes to find it. Still have unopened boxes. I think if you pack everything and they ship it, they do a good job. The people that came were very friendly, so that's a good thing.

It went fine. They were good but there was some issues with their labor process. They took care of all my furniture and everything. I actually does a recommendation for American Movers. I was fine.

Great moving experience!!!  I highly recommend American Movers to anyone looking for a moving company. I was very impressed with the great team work, great attitudes and eagerness to ensure my satisfaction with the move. 

The owner was very responsive and professional and was part of the job the first time, which went very well. However, the second time he was not part of the job and I had an issue with 1 of the 3 movers disappearing for periods of time and moving much more slowly than the other 2 movers. Considering I was paying by the hour, I found this frustrating, but the cost was the estimated amount so I got over it. The third time it got even worse and the cost ended up much higher than I expected. More than once I had to say something the person lagging behind (the same person as on the 2nd trip) about his slowness, which I found unnerving.
All three times they did do an excellent job of treating the furniture well and avoiding breaks and scratches, which is why I'm still giving them high marks on Quality. They were also on time or early for each appointment.
I marked that I would use them in the future should I have the need (which is very unlikely since I no longer have ties to the Wichita area); however, I would have a heart to heart with the owner before I used them again because of the issues listed above.
