Alfred's Superior Tree Services

They gave me a bid.. it took over 3 years for anyone to show up and trim /cut the tree. I called them ever few months ,.they said I was on their list.. When some did show up three years later, the person was surprised no one showed up in three years.

Work was completed in a very timely manner, very profession and we will use them again.

They were prompt and timely. I requested wood be left to be cut for fire wood. They will haul and/or cut as the customer desires.

They showed up when they said would. I did not want a severe trim and they were followed my wishes. They cleaned up very well and the yard was spotless when they were done.

They did a very good job, I have no complaints and would absolutely use them again. I did not shop around for better pricing, it seemed reasonable at the time and the person estimating the job was going to be the actual person doing it - that made me feel comfortable with them.

Very well. They showed up as scheduled for estimate and work. They took trees down to level ground leaving nothing and I mean nothing behind. You could basically not tell there had ever been a tree there. it was great. the tree trimming was also wonderful. They got all the dead out and shaped them well. This year they look much healthier. They cleaned up everything, from large branches to twigs!!! I was very impressed with them. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them!!

There was a wind storm in our area which caused a lot of damage to our two large trees. There was a lot of time between our initial call and when service was done because of the volume of damage across the city. They did a good job and cleaned up pretty well and hauled off the limbs.

I called several tree contractors for bids to trim my oak tree, but I wanted to check out Angie's List.   Alfred's had a B rating on Angie's List, so I called them and Chuck came out. This bid was not the cheapest bid that I received. Assuming that you get what you pay for  and they could get the job done in one week, I hired them. This time frame worked well for me as I had hired another contractor to start laying concrete under the oak tree in three week.
Alfred's did not show in the promised time frame and I had to delay my other contractor.  I left several  messages for Chuck with the "receptionist" to call me.  He did not call.  
I called Alfred's to let them know  that  I was going to call someone else and that  their services were no longer required.  To my surprise, miraculously I received a  phone from Chuck telling me that someone would be sent out  the next  morning. I had to work the next day, but I really did not see any need to to direct a professional.
Upon returning home from work, I noticed that the south-side of the tree above the garage looked great and all the mess had been cleaned up nicely, but the north-side of the tree looked barely touched and still had dead-wood and dropping branches.  So I gave Chuck at Alfred's another call to let him know that the work was not complete.  He said that it was probably his fault as he had told his worker to concentrate on area above the garage and that he would correct the problem the next day.  
NO ONE CAME, but I did receive a bill in the mail for services rendered.  I mailed the bill back on Friday with a note saying " I would pay in full once the job was complete".  I receive a phone on Saturday from Chuck who was upset.  He told me that  he did come out to solve the problem.   HE ALSO SAID THAT HE WOULD BE RIGHT OVER TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER FURTHER. I waited all day. HE DID NOT SHOW. 
I received another bill stating that the job was complete and that I needed to pay the bill immediately or further steps would be taken.  Instead of suffering through more headaches and problems with this company, send a check for payment in full.  But I am writing this review to warn others about this company.  
This was lesson well learned.   Next time I have a contractor come out to my home, I will be there to make sure the work is completed.
So much for customer satisfaction.

The response of company was excellent, considering the amount of local storm damage cleanup that all services were faced with in the local area.  Since this work was completely non-critical, the (approximate) one month delay in accomplishing the work was fully acceptable and thoroughly discussed.  The office was outstanding in getting this work inserted into a very tight company schedule.
The crew arrived with all the necessary equipment (including an impressive brush-pickup truck) and were finished with the job in three hours.  Safety rules (hardhats, climbing tethers, etc.) were used at all times and the personnel were obviously well trained in safety procedures (including "watch for the falling branches"!)
This is my first experience with Alfred's Tree Service, and this company will definitely remain my tree-company of choice in the future.

It was great. They called shortly after 7 am to let me know the crew was heading my way and the crew was on site within 30 minutes. The tree was behind a fence and very close to two houses. In addition, it was enormous. By two o'clock everything was cleaned up. The only problem I encountered was that two of my sprinkler head were snapped off. However with the cramped confines they had to work with, this was not a surprise.

Called on a weekend and was welcomed out to the property. Met by owner. They'll deliver, too. Nice guy, recommended by other people i trust.

I’ve known the owner for several years.  His crew came right out and trimmed the tree.  In fact, it was amazing to watch these guys trim the tree.   They got a lot of the tree limbs off of the power lines and they trimmed it really well.  After his crew cleaned up the limbs from trimming this tree, the owner came out to pick up the branches with his equipment.  The job was well done.  I'm sure that we will be using him again.
