Service manager says shorted electrical wiring was repaired with heat shrink tubing containing sealant (not regular tubing found in most auto parts stores). That's probably a better repair than I would get most places.
Seems like dealership prices (at all dealers) are always higher than competitor prices -- even for the same quality part. in this case there are very few local service competitors, so they sort of have a and quot;captive marketand quot; when it comes to parts prices. I don't know the situation from their point of view, but from mine, it sure seems they take advantage of that opportunity.
Service manager has always been friendly, helpful, willing to answer all questions. Aside from the prices for parts, I have no hesitation recommending this dealership for service.
