Wags 'n Whiskers, LLC

I arranged for Wags ‘n Whiskers LLC, to pet sit for our 2 dogs and 1 cat. I confirmed the arrangement 2 times by text and once in person. Each contact I provided them the dates April 29th through May 8th and received a confirmation. On Thursday, May 4, 2017, I received an email invoice for dates April 29th through May 1st. Typically they only bill after the sitting is completed so I texted because I was concerned that no one had fed, water the pets or provided our cat her medication for 3 days now. It took over 30 minutes to get a response and when they did respond they confirmed that they had neglected to care for my animals as agreed. If I had not contacted them and just assumed they were doing their job, my pets would have had no food or water for 8 days, which is gross negligence, animal endangerment and cruelty. I am sure they would have died if they had gone the full 8 days without care. So while I am out of state, I had to locate friends to take care of the pets until my return and to counter act the trauma the pets had endured with no food or water for 3 days. Wags ‘n Whiskers LLC claimed it was a miscommunication, which is simply not true. I communicated with her the dates 3 separate times. I am also required, per our contract with Wags 'n Whiskers, LLC, to notify them when we returned home. Since we weren't home they were not notified and that should have been a clue to at least contact me to verify if there was a problem. I am very lucky that my pets survived this business.
