Dennis Uhl gave a professional estimate on performing mudjacking on our home which has sunk on either side of a partial basement. We had two companies give estimates; one very inexpensive with lots of uncertainties; the other a reasonable cost for the work to be performed but also with uncertainties.
Dennis was very thorough using a self-leveling laser to verify just how far the sides of our home have moved. The company has over 60 years experience and it showed. He also told me about things I should take care of regarding the foundation.
He explained what he would do in terms of the mudjacking process including what kind of equipment he would be using. He was very thorough. When he finished explaining, he said, and quot;Personally, I would do the cosmetics. There are companies that can cover up the things you see. Because the ends of your house are on slabs (partial basement in the center) There is no guarantee that the plumbing and HVAC will not be affected. You might have bigger problems with the mudjacking.and quot;
We were very relieved because we knew that it would be a risk. We were looking for some company to say, and quot;No problem. Everything will be fine.and quot;
