Neville Haynes Masonry

It could not have gone better. The only reason I gave Neville an A rating is that there is nothing higher. With his experience and professionalism our basement now looks better than it has in years.

Arrived on time for the bid and for the actual job. Neville did the work quickly and thoroughly, plus did a couple of extra small things not in the original bid. He showed up to do the work even though his helper did not show that morning and he had to work alone.

He was a nice guy. I haven't climbed onto the roof to check but I assume he did a fine job.

I was very pleased with the individual. There was a portion of brick that was done next to the garage door. He did it in such a way that it looked like the other. It matched what was already there. It was done very neatly. He actually reinforced it better than the builder. He cleaned up after himself.

Mr Haynes promptly contacted me and made arrangement for estimate. He arrived arrived when scheduled and provided me with an estimate. He made apt to complete the work and showed up on time. He did the work which took a total of about three days including allowing the cinder blocks to dry. He clean up most of the debris.. I would recommend him for any masonry work need.

Mr. Haynes is one of the hardest working individuals that I have ever met.  He completed every aspect of our contract in a professional timely manner.  If you are looking for a no nonsense contractor that gets the job done at a reasonable price, Neville Haynes is the person for you!

Neville was easily reached by phone, came within the week to give us an estimate, and then came within another week to complete the repair work. He showed us what things needed repair and what things did not, including cracks from settling in the mortar of our brick fireplace. I really appreciate that he didn't trump up charges. He was punctual and tidy and the repair looks great! We'll use Neville for any future masonry repairs!

I had several quotes for this project, but this contractor offered this best quote for the work.  After reviewing many comments on Angie's list I decided to use his services.  I contacted Mr. Haynes and he responded quickly. He provided a quote and gave me an estimate of how long the project would take. When I decided to use his service we agreed on the contracted amount.  He was very timely coming to begin the project within 10 days of our agreement.  He showed up and did exactly what we agreed on.  He completed the first part of the project the first day.  Allowed the cement to set for 45 hours and returned and completed the project.  He cleaned up everything to my satisfaction and the retaining basement wall was done.  He is excellent in his work and I would use him again and recommend him to anyone.

We did competitive bidding on this chimney repair job and his was the best price.  He presented his quote within a reasonable time period and after being awarded the work contract he showed up on time, did excellent work and did a great job cleaning up afterwards.  I was very happy with his work and would definitely use him in the future and highly recommend him to others.

Neville arrived on time and finished on time at the stated cost.

Be careful what you ask for. I wanted a cheap repair for a brick sidewalk, so asked for minimum needed. He tuck pointed the outside row of bricks but left the inner ones alone, so the mortar looks completely different.
It's mostly my fault, I didn't mark off points because it was uglier than I expected. I marked off points because the mortar work wasn't very clean, it's on top of the bricks in a lot of places.

Neville is a find.  He is a no-nonsense craftsman who shows up on time, as promised, works efficiently, does excellent work and cleans-up when he is done.  He was not the cheapest bid received but was also far from the most expensive.  I could not be more pleased with the finished product.  I highly recommend Neville.

Neville was responsive, fair, and thorough in his work.  He and I did have one miscommunication about a small part of the work.  When I asked him about it he corrected the issue and did not charge me additional money, even though it required more work for him.  

We had two bids .  His was the most reasonable  .   He arrived when he said he would , did the work he said he would and finished on time despite some rain thrown in .

We signed a contract with Neville, & he put us on his list. The rain delayed the start of the project.  When it was dry enough, Neville called on a Sunday to say he would be there to work the next morning.  He arrived as he said he would along with one assistant.  Neville did all the  preparation for and installation of the brick himself.  He worked steadily.  He seldom took a break.  The two steps and some of the sidewalk had to be removed with a jackhammer.  It wasn't an easy job.  Neville worked each day until the installation was finished.  The rain prevented him from caulking and sealing the brick for a couple of days, but when it dried, he returned promptly to caulk and seal the brick. 

We would highly recommend Neville Haynes to anyone who needs a skilled & reliable brick mason.  He did a great job for us. We had no problems at all with the job.  Our front steps and porch were embarrassing.  Now we are proud to have guests walk up to our door.  We chose red brown brick which blends nicely with the brick on our house to cover the porch, 2 steps, and form a ribbon around the first section of our sidewalk .  Neville's work has definitely improved the curb appeal of our home.

Showed up promptly to provide estimate and provided estimate within 2 days. Was able to schedule work within a week and arrived on schedule for the job. Worked Saturday, Sunday and Monday to complete work. All work was done professionally and completely to satisfaction.

Mr . Haynes replaced about 20 or so bricks . They matched well as did the mortar. He returned two days later and sealed entire chimney. Nine months later still looks great.. The folks next door used him as well after us and found the work needed done to satisfaction.

We were looking for someone to replace some broken coping stones around our swimming pool and found Neville on Angie's List.
Neville contacted us immediately and came out to discuss what we wanted done. We were having a difficult time finding replacement
coping stones and Neville said he would check with some of his suppliers and see what he could find. After a lot of legwork on his part, he found a source here in town who could make the coping stones. He delivered the stones, replaced the old stones, sealed all the coping, and re-grouted around the the deck. He was great to work with and we sincerely appreciate all the effort he put into finding the coping stones, getting them a made, and installing them. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional who will go the extra mile to please his customer. Thanks Neville.
