Lowe's

WOW. I've been going to Lowe's for decades, and for the past ten years I have gone exclusively to them for my hardware and materials needs. I just moved to KS where people are supposedly nicer. The store manager Scott is a real jerk. He refused to take my order back, then when I arranged it through customer service he charged me $1,000 - $1,000!!!!! - to return the order. When I first spoke with him he had claimed there was some kind of disclosure information when I placed the order but I didn't see it. If it's not obvious it violates federal consumer laws. I've moved to so many houses over the years that Lowe's has made a fortune off of me. I will never, ever go to a Lowe's again. They used to be my exclusive provider. That's over. I'm cancelling my credit card. This guy is a major ahole. I will be sending something to their legal department and will be sending a complaint. The 800 number refused to give me Scott's last name and I got the sense that you will just get the run-around with the legal department. So the bottom line is, avoid them like the plague. Dishonest and nasty. A real jerk. He should be selling used cars or knocking on doors trying to sell solar panels. Gross.
