"I'm sorry to see that you believe you had such a bad experience. Being there in person, we had experienced something totally the opposite. We received a call from Chris explaining that he was in the process of doing his own remodel and he himself was doing the electrical work. He had lost power to his stairwell light and could not figure out what he had done wrong and needed an electrician to come out and fix his work. We sent out an electrician, after hours, to get him taken care of. I called to check in on my technician to see how things were going. He explained to me that it was a wiring mess and he had not been able to trace out the issue yet. Myself and my helper had finished a late project and went out to give him a hand. When I showed up, my technician showed me what he had done already to try to solve the problem. There was a stud wall that ran right down the center of a splice box in the ceiling, that supposedly had the wiring inside that tied to the light. The switch box, that needed attention, had 3 other wires hanging out of the back of the box, with no markings on them. We had no access to the box with the new wall covering it up. At this point, I did not want to spend any more time trying to figure out what Chris had done with his own wiring. I found a solution to fix the problem by running a new wire to the light fixture to get it to work. We got the stairwell light working. I checked all switches and receptacles to make sure they worked and that we hadn't lost power to anything else. I explained to his wife what we found and what we had to do before giving her the bill. This was now close to 7pm that night. I explained that it was late and that we would not be installing the extra light that night, but if they still needed us to install it, that we could return at a later date to take care of it. I had 3 guys there, all on overtime, to get the problem solved and only charged them for 1 person on regular rates, with the thought of me being fair in mind. We were also standing in the living room as she wrote the check out and we have no problem asking permission to use a restroom if needed. She thanked us for the work and we were on our way. $220 to fix your electrical wiring is not a bad price, especially when we are there after normal business hours, all to take care of a customer. We pride ourselves in the work that we do and there was no exception to this job."
