DOUD'S AUTO SERVICE

Excellent!

Chip always does a great job, lets me know costs up front and will tell me if I'm requesting work that isn't needed. He's always been honest, fair and reasonably priced.

I have used Doud's for my car repair for the last 13 years.  He has always done quality work at good prices.  It is great to have a mechanic that will take care of what I need honestly and professionally.  Based on the change in the volume of business over the years it appears I'm not the only one who appreciates the piece of mind Doud's provides.

We have used Doud's Auto service for about 4 years. They were referred to us by work of mouth. They are excellent. We were concerned about our a report from the Honda Dealer when we took it to them for a check up. They told us our brakes were bad and and could be fixed by them for a large sum of money. We decided to take the van to Douds for the Brake job.
After Douds had the car for a short time they called and told us they would be glad to put Brake Pads on but there was still 90% of the pad on them, but if we wanted they would still do it. We picked up the van at no charge.
They have always been fair and honest with us, and the work they have done for us has been excellent. We would recommend them to anyone.

Douds looked at the misfire problem twice but wasn't able to determine the root cause. The good news is that they didn't just fix stuff anyway and didn't charge me when they didn't fix anything even though they had spent some time diagnosing the problem. They determined multiple causes for the oil leak and consulted with me to decide which ones were worth fixing and which ones were best left alone for now. In the end they ended up replacing a head cover gasket and went above-and-beyond by taking the time to clean the engine to make additional leaks easier to find. They did quality work and were honest, though they were not able to fully solve my problem. They've earned my respect and loyalty.

We've gone to them for over 15 years. They are wonderful. They have done a number of different services for our vehicles. He will not do any work until he checks the pricing first and then confirms it with us. He is very honest and won't try to cheat you. If he really feels something is wrong, he will let you know. He will not push any uneccessary services on you. For example, my daughter had to have a repair on her car which entailed pulling the engine out. He noticed a damaged part while servicing the car. He called my husband and informed him that this was only a $30 part he could replace now, while the engine was already out. Otherwise the part would have lasted a little longer and they would've had to pull the engine out at a later date. He really saved us time and money.
