Black Gold Inc

My son said someone has just had Black Gold do their insulation and they did a great job for a reasonable price. I called and Denny came over to give me a free estimate. He was very friendly and quoted me for the job. I hired Black Gold to put insulation in my attic (about 14", brought it up to an R38) and around the joists in my small basement, they also did a vapor barrier in my crawl space. They arrived on time, were very friendly, got right to work and were finished quickly. I have enjoyed having my bills a bit lower during this nasty winter! I have also hired them again to put some insulation in a few of my walls.

The work was done promptly and professionally. We especially appreciated having them make a box over our whole house attic fan with a rope attached for raising and lowering to conserve energy.

The insulation had to be completed in two phases. Before the drywall, they sprayed foam insulation the the wooden frame sections near the roof and in the workroom/garage. Most of the house is constructed with insulation concrete forms which contain 6and quot; of Styrofoam on all the walls. After the ceiling was sheet rocked, they returned and filled the attic area with cellulose to reach R65 insulation. They did their work efficiently and professionally. At one point they found they had not brought all of the required cellulose and had another load delivered. Afterwards they did a good job cleaning up. We have been very happy with the job and very warm in our new house.

Black Gold Inc have so far spray-foamed 99% of the enclosed structure, both exterior walls and the ceiling. Rod, who is the sales point of contact, is very responsive on both e-mail and phone calls. He has answered all of my questions and has come out on two different occasions as I was working on the structure to provide recommendations on how best to insulate something, given the way that I was framing and doing the building. Then his service men so far have been very prompt. All of their areas that they had they put plastic over to make sure that their spray foam didn't make contact with any of our doors, windows or anything inside the structure that could be damaged as a result of them spraying the foam.
