Ben Schreiner Concrete Construction

I was very pleased. Doors closed that hadn’t latched for years. No more basement leaks when it rained. They had a long waiting list, but the wait time was no longer than they estimated. The workers cleaned up after themselves. The final bill was $300 less than I was quoted. I had put it off, fearing an estimate in the tens of thousands of dollars and was shocked at the very reasonable estimate. Wish I’d done it years ago!

I had a north wall that dropped 2" and the old root cellar wall buckled. I requested a cellar add on to repair both problems. Ben and his workers were the nicest and easiest group of professionals to work with I've met. They went the extra mile for my family while I was gone (to help my mom as she passed away) to keep them updated on the work. Even repaired some pipes when the old cast iron sewer pipe dropped (ripped out the straps due to old weak floor joists) and pulled some bathroom plumbing out. Even when I requested a last minute change for an alcove to install an egress storm door, Ben got the specs and ordered the door for me. I worked concrete as a youth on highways and bridges back east and I can tell you I like what I see. Want a quality job? Call Ben! Even when I told him I wanted my pipes in the new cellar (which most people don't want), he said "Ok" and it was done as I requested with hand drawn plans. This is the old-fashion one on one talk and handshake kind of company that you just don't find too easy nowadays.

I had to wait almost 5 months for them to get to me on their list but he told me in June it would be mid-October. Mike came and laid it out on Oct. 30. They laid it out as I requested and I really like how it looks. They put some gravel around the edges to merge it into the yard. I am very happy with how it looks.

Wow, very pleased! They took about a week. The workers were polite, respectful of our stuff and cleaned up after themselves. They answered all my questions and concerns and generally exceeded our expectations.

He's awesome. He does a lot of took them out and just educate you on what's going on and they'll let you know if he needs to do work or not so he's really honest. He's punctual, he's got a lot of experience and he's not afraid to tell you, "That's just cosmetic, you don't need to do it". One time, I had some work done in the basement and another cement person put in $30,000 and Ben came in and said, "You don't have to do anything with this" and he's been in the business for a long time, great.

It went extremely well. They discovered some additional work that needed to be done, we had them do it. They gave us the price, but they negotiated that down a little a bit for us and we're very happy with that. They were prompt, they were competitively priced, and they were thorough with what they did.

We contacted Schreiner Construction in late September about fixing a couple of small areas in one of our basement walls where we have had a small amount of leakage into our basement when it rained. This was after we had spent months waiting on another Foundation Repair company to do the work and finally gave up on them.

Schreiner's came out within a few days and gave us an estimate which we found reasonable. They indicated that they would be able to get to our job within a few weeks.
We sent our acceptance of their bid in around mid-October.
They came out on December 5th; did the excavation they needed to by hand; applied a rubber waterproofing membrane to the cracks on both the outside and inside of the foundation wall; and put the fill dirt back.
The entire job took just a few hours.
they were very efficient and so far we have been pleased with the results. After a couple of good spring rains, no leakage.
We would definitely use Schreiner's again!

The driveway was less than 6 mo. old and already had a crack in it. Sidewalk was fine.

We were very pleased with the crew who did our work and it turned out very good.

I had to wait several months for service, as Schreiner was booked solid at the time I contacted them for repair of my foundation. Everything went well except for having to wait for special construction of egress window, which was available from a third party when I inspected it but was not available at the time Schreiner Construction repaired the foundation. That phase will be completed when the egress window is available.

Ben Schreiner is the best. I have used his concrete services since 1996 and always found them to be excellent.

He was really responsive to work with and did very well with the foundation work. I will probably use them again in the future.
