I called for an appointment the day before and had an appointment for the next day.  Matt was very knowledgeable and knew immediately what my problem was.  The opener was repaired in less than an hour with brand new parts.  Overall the repair was very quick and my garage door was back in service.

I had used him before at another house and he is awesome- I have nothing but great things to say about him. He is very professional, gives you an estimate and sticks very close to that estimate. He is very helpful- the first time we used him, I just wasn't sure what type of garage door to get, and the house that we lived in before was different from this one. He explained the different types of garage doors and then I made a decision from there. He was so knowledgeable and very helpful.

Very well. My door takes a special type of spring that only they could service. Fair price, good service.

They showed up on time, completed the work timely and mailed me the invoice. Would definitely recommend and use them again.

My wife called Matt Payne and described our problem (the garage door would open by itself at random times).Matt suggested for us to try a garage door system reset, and gave instructions on how to try it. We should call him If it didn't work, as we would need a new controller circuit board for the opener.
We followed Matt's instructions and it worked like a charm; we were able to reset the system and reprogram our openers.We are very thankful for Matt's helpful attitude - he could have easily charged us to come out and 'take a look', then perform the repair. We appreciate this kind of attitude that defines his business. We will actively recommend Matt and A-1 OH Door Service, and when we need any future garage door service there will be only one person we call!

Called on Sunday, got immediate return call, said would be out Monday morning and came as promised.

After a problem developed in our 20 year old Sears garage door opener, we contacted Matt at A-1 Overhead Door Service. He gave us an estimate over the phone for the installation of a new LiftMaster chain drive garage door opener. We accepted his proposal and he said that he would order the opener and let us know when it came in. Within just a few days he had the part and called us to arrange a time to come and install the opener
He arrived timely and took about an hour and a half to complete the installation.
The opener worked fine mechanically, but was actually noisier than the one that was replaced. When we contacted Matt and asked him about the noise, he said that, even though chain driven openers are not the quietest, it should be quieter than our old one. He immediately ordered a new one, and came out in just a few days to replace it. The new one is definitely quieter.
Matt was efficient and professional; always returned our calls promptly; and replaced the defective opener with no questions asked. We will not hesitate to recommend him.

Matt called back quickly when I called and came out the same afternoon. He was very courteous, professional and good at his job. He knew exactly what to check and fix and had the garage door working within an hour or so. I really don't remember the exact date because I thought I had given a review already but couldn't find it. I would definitely call again if we have any more trouble with the garage door. He was reasonably priced I thought. We have not had any trouble with the door not functioning since he came out.

I called the guy, his last name is Matt who runs A-1 Overhead Door Service and he said that he can come out in a couple of days which he did. Later I asked him if he can bring an opener, he said yes about $200 or you can buy your own. I kind of lit on that idea and I checked online and the one I wanted to get was called a "belt drive", they're conservatively quieter than chain drives for lifting overhead doors. I spent $240 and this is for the top of the line, new technological advances, 10 years or so. There's no question that I will use them again.

I called Matt Payne because my doors would not close on a sunny day using the remote. I would have to go into the garage, close the door with the override switch, and come out and lock the front door every time. I called A-1 Overhead, and the owner was there the next morning and fixed the problem. He was pleasant and reasonable.

Our garage door was almost completely non-functional. I thought the door would have to be replaced, but A-1 Overhead Door Service successfully repaired it at a very reasonable price.

My 12 year old automatic garage door opener suddenly broke a chain, rendering system inoperable. I contacted A-1 and was told he would come over and do an estimate. Matt showed up promptly, assessed the problem, made the estimate, and proceeded to correct the problem. Opener is again working well --problem solved with minimal stress! I highly recommend Matt and A-1 Overhead Door.

I called A-1 Monday morning and he was at my place that afternoon as promised. Very pleasant and helpful. He not only fixed my garage door opener but he serviced it as well. He also made suggestions as to how I could service it mysefl. I would definitely use A-1 again.
