Our project with Dusty included sanding hardwood floors, and refurbishing stair tread caps and railings. Dusty was meticulous and spent a considerable amount of time and effort guiding us in selecting the right stain that would match our treads, railings and furniture. In addition, Dusty was professional and very pleasant to work with. The end result was showcase flooring.

Without a doubt the best hardwood service in the area. We had the wood floors restored on a 100 year old fixer, and when Dusty’s crew was finished they looked brand new. They magically blended the old wood floors with new wood where replacement was needed, and the final result is gorgeous. Even better than the service was the communication. Dusty kept us in the loop on timelines and expectations and also asked our input so they would make us happy and deliver the result we wanted… 100% satisfied with the work.

Dusty was amazing to work with. He did an outstanding job and we could not be happier. We ended up hiring him to do our fathers house too. He installed laminate flooring there and it turned out amazing. He also did trim work there that looked excellent. He is very reliable and does amazing work. I purchased a home in summer of 2020 with a hardwood oak floor that was beat up, badly stained, and in need of a thorough refinish. I contacted Dusty right away, because he had done some consultation and trim work on my previous house, a very difficult project in itself involving 5 different contractors, and had done a perfect custom job of his portion of the rehab which left a very good impression. I knew he would be fair and provide excellent craftsmanship. Very lucky for me- he agreed to take on my new project. What I didn’t know was that the house had significant, extensive pet damage, worse than what was evident in the initial inspections, that the seller made attempts to conceal and did not disclose. Large areas of the oak floorboards and subfloor diagonals were completely ruined. There was the awful stench of cat urine that wouldn’t go away. To complicate things, the subfloor had previous termite damage that was undisturbed. Dusty did several walk throughs with me and each time we kept finding more and more problems. The day he came over to start the refinish, we came to the conclusion that a refinish wasn’t going to cut it, that the entire square footage minus tiled areas needed to be torn out and redone. Since the subfloor also had the termite damage, this meant many of those boards had to be torn out and replaced as well, since they would shatter and crumble when the oak planks were pulled up. In addition, the subfloor face would have to be treated and sealed in problem areas with Kilz- which I managed to do myself in a very small window of time after they tore the oak out. He helped me shop for replacement material which had to be done quickly, and I picked some LVP which I think ultimately was a great choice because it had the uniform, natural look I wanted, it’s budget-conscious and low-maintenance with excellent durability. Needless to say, none of this was part of my plan or budget, but with Dusty’s expert guidance and commitment to professionalism, he was able to help me turn a complete crap situation into the best outcome that one could’ve asked for. It was a huge mess and took several weeks to complete but well worth it. He and his team did the entire thing from start to finish- tear out, leveling sleepers, new plywood sheeting with roll-on moisture barrier, then LVP “boards” and finally trim installation (he helped me source exactly what I wanted for that too.) The result is night and day- you can’t even tell there was ever a problem unless I show you were to look. Squeaking, creaking and terrible smells are all gone. Cleaning and maintenance is nothing. When people who saw the before have seen the after, they’ve been blown away. Dusty really is one of the best contractors I’ve ever worked with, his professionalism and keen sense of ethics can’t be overstated. Very well. Dusty is very knowledgeable and has years of experience installing hard wood floors. He walked me through the entire process before starting, was punctual and efficient. What I appreciated most is that Dusty goes the extra mile in putting down a moisture barrier, leveling the floor, ensuring there are no squeaks in the flooring. He also made sure that there were sufficient plastic wall barriers to keep any dust from getting to the rest of the house and wore his mask as needed. He made sure to clean up each day and remove any hazardous material from being stepped on or inhaled. I've added photos to show his work. I did not include any of the before, but it was a mix of carpet, parquet flooring and tile. All in all I would recommend Dusty Hardwood Flooring to anyone who is looking to install hardwood flooring.

Dusty's Hardwood Floor Service did a wonderful job refinishing the wooden floors in my kitchen and dining room. They were able to repair damage to the floors, stain them to my desired shade, and then add on a hard finish to protect from dog toenails. A+ work and I would definitely hire them again for other work.

It was great! He coordinated with me to do it while I was out of town so I didnt have to live through the noise and mess. Came home to wonderfully rejuvenated floors! He originally put the hardwood floors in 15 years ago and I was happy to have him do the refinishing.
