Solutions Lawn & Landscape

we used Solutions Lawn to for chemical treatment for my lawn this year and results were horrible. My lawn resulted in the worst condition it has been with all kind of weeds growing throughout. James failed to resolve the issue or take responsibility to have his team come out and do proper treatment. They continued on providing the next scheduled 4-6 week treatment with no results and sending me full invoices. Not sure if they were really using any chemical treatment since instead of weeds getting under control they kept growing bigger and out of control. Upon multiple emails, James would reply back that he has asked his guys to re-apply the treatment but they would not show up to reapply. I fired them.

Solutions Lawn and Landscaping did a fantastic job on our yard as always! They went above and beyond on our landscaping needs and we are so pleased with the end result. They are responsive via text which is extremely helpful for a working person and kept me updated. I really appreciate their services and will continue to recommend them!

We used Solutions to maintain our lawn and landscape for two years and the service steadily went downhill until we had to fire him in November 2014.  His workers were not careful and left damaged lawn, plants, and trees in their wake.  Even though we asked that mowings sometimes be rescheduled until a time when the yard was not so wet and soggy, they mowed our yard anyway with big heavy machines leaving ruts and muddy trails across it.  Operators seemed to enjoy spinning doughnuts with their tires at the end of a pass leaving bare spots that take some time to heal. The workers were in such a hurry to finish that they just blasted through the tasks and have left damaged ornamental plantings and broken sprinkler valve box covers with no thought of repair or even saying they are sorry.  It is my opinion that James schedules his crews to do too many lawns in a day and they just can't take the time to do careful work.
But my biggest complaint, and the reason we stopped using them, is that James was just not responsive to phone calls, voice mails, texts, or emails.  Over the two year period we used them, I lost count of the number of times he told me he'd come by or provide a service agreed to and never showed up or returned a phone call.  He simply did not respond until I had called him multiple times.  In such a competitive environment, I would have expected a lawn service owner to be more proactive in keeping clients happy, but I do not remember a time when he just called or came by out of the blue and said "how are we doing?" or "how's the service been?"

Well, let me tell you. On August 26, 2014 I was at my relatives house visiting and the owner of the rental house that they were renting called a mowing company "Solutions Lawn and Landscape" from Stilwell to mow the lawn. While I was there one of James Schneider's employee's hit something in the grass and broke out my back glass of my van, the employee came up to us , yes,we all were outside and told us what had happened and it was his fault and he had called his boss, we could hardly understand him because of his accent. He in turn gave me his bosses number and I called and had to leave a message. I did not hear from James Schneider for days. I had to call an auto glass company to come out to replace the window at my expense. I was able to get the business's phone number. I called and spoke to a man who claimed to be an owner of Solutions Lawn and Landscape, he told me to send him the bill and he would take care of it. Well, as of today no check has been sent to me. I have called, text and left numerous message's, but no one wants to return my calls ect... I can't believe this is how these people do business. I can see a lawsuit in the near future. I highly recommend that you not use this company as they claim to be licensed and bonded but can't be trusted.

Shows up when expected to mow and to meet for mulching and sprinkler services.  I have been unsure whether/when chemical applications have been applied because evidence/notification has not always been found.  But James always provides a timely response to my text messages.  Mowing is thorough but very fast.  String trimmer sometimes is overly aggressive in cutting the edges and around obstacles.  Sprinkler adjustments were effective and completed promptly.  They have a done a nice job of bed mulching on multiple occasions.

We switched to this company in 2012 and have been nothing but pleased with our decision. James runs this company very professionally. They are responsive, special requests can be scheduled in a reasonable time. The workers are always on time, courteous and work to our specifications.
