Eric and Brady did a superb job on our back yard project to build a wall for our round garden platform. They were kind and professional and kept the cost to a minimum even doing extra bricks and dirt outside of contract. I mean, who does that these days? I recommend Messengers Lawn and Landscape to all my friends and family now! Do yourself a favor and contract only with this company. Other companies we dealt with before were difficult and changed the cost before the job was done. Only Messengers never changed the cost and even did extra work. They also worked around bad weather and heavy rains. Eric was so sweet and answered all the questions we had at any time of the day. And believe me, we are difficult customers. He also came many times to check on our yard weeks after the project was over to make sure everything was good.

No good one guy was their all day then they had to send someone else to complete the job. I ended up paying for 2 people when it should have take 1 person about 3 to 4 hours

I have someone that cuts the lawn regularly during the summer, but doesn't really do the "other stuff".    However, the "other stuff" really piles up over time - literally.  I contacted Messengers for a bid on cleaning up the yard. 
Talk about quick service!   I had a bid either that same day or the next by email.  The price was reasonable for the amount of work that had to be done.   I gave them the go ahead, and the next day they were out and working!  
The lawn looks good again, the mulch bed (which are fairly extensive) are cleaned up again, and the bushes (which were fairly out of control) are back in trim.
I've asked them to put us on the calendar for a return trip in the fall!

They removed existing rock and 21 shrubs, they added six cubic yards of dirt around the foundation. they replaced the shrubs and the rock as well as new weed control cloth. We have used them before and would definitely use them again. They have always been prompt, professional and fair.

I called Messenger's and set the appointment several weeks in advance. The day before the scheduled appointment, Messengers called to verify I would be home between 9-11 a.m. The service technician arrived at 9:00 a.m. the following day. It took about 40 minutes start to finish and another 20 to winterize the irrigation system. The tech installed an in-ground irrigation box and the valve - the box was perfectly level with the ground. He knocked on my door to make sure I was satisfied with the work before departing. I was very impressed. Not only was the job well done, the area was professionally cleaned and detailed - it actually looked manicured - on probably the coldest day of the year. I don't write many reviews but Messenger's provides world class service and deserves to be recognized.

Their pricing seems comparable. No complaints so far with their service.

They don't show up when they say they will. They are not consistent. When they do have time to come out, they do good work, but I just can't rely on them.

We thought they did a very good job. We thought that their price was certainly reasonable. It was certainly well within the line. We were satisfied with them. They did well on responsiveness. They worked when they had very busy schedules. They were professional. We will use their services again in the future.

The guy came and gave an estimate and said it was less than $500. Then the guys came and did the work and they said that they would send me the bill but they haven't sent me the bill yet. I would be using them again because I have called them to fix up my back yard. They did a great job.

When I first called the company, the woman with whom I spoke was very busy chatting with co-workers (I assume), and she asked my name (which I spelled repeatedly) and address several times. Obviously, she was side-tracked and throughout our approximately 10 minute phone conversation she continued to ask my name, which I don't believe she ever recorded correctly. She told me that someone would come to our house for an evaluation and recommended lawn care on a particular day. That person did not come on the day scheduled, and I had to call the company back to get someone here. When he came, I arranged for what treatments we wanted and was told by the individual that when they provided treatment, the servicing technician would ALWAYS leave a note on our door explaining what had been done. The first treatment was done, about a week and many phone calls, later than scheduled. We received and paid that bill. Some time later, we received by mail a bill for the second treatment. To our knowledge, a second treatment had not yet been performed; we could see no indication of it (no flags on lawn or no note on the door). After talking to the company and their investigation, it was discovered that a treatment had been done at another address not even remotely near. I am also assuming this error was due to my very first phone call with the employee who could NEVER get our name right. Presumably, the person who answers a client's initial call is the person with whom the client will always deal. I mention this because I think the person upon my first contact and quot;dropped the ball.and quot; Any other person with whom I spoke in the company was always kind, courteous, and professional. We still continued to deal with the company until the last incident when a technician left a written recommendation which was very difficult to understand and was quite misleading.
We feel that any work done by the company was done well. However, because of the disorganization and inefficiency of of some of the employees, we will no longer use the company.

They are a large company and do many things in the Kansas City area. We pay per visit and we pay more than the average bear. It is probably more than the average person but it is worth it to us. They do a really good job.

After receiving other bids we chose to go with Messenger and are very pleased. Their foreman and crew showed up and, if not for the rain, would have completed the job in one day. They installed drainage pipe, leveled the low spots with good quality fill dirt, placed good sod over it and covered our flower beds in 3" of hardwood mulch. We are very pleased and think we got much value for our money.

They always show up promptly and quickly finish the job. The billing needs some work, though it has improved quite a bit since I first started using them about a year ago (it wouldn't come regularly and didn't come with anything describing how to send payment, now it comes with an addressed envelope much more regularly). My yard looks great, which is a huge improvement as the sod wasn't put in properly by my builder. My only complaint was the mowing/edging - they mowed over my small garden several times and would cut the ropes for my tree stakes pretty much weekly. The last time they cut down my lilies in the process (and they charge a bit more than other mowers have quoted) - so I've stopped the mowing service and am only going with the treatments.

They are excellent to work with. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future.

We called them and someone said that he will call us back and 10 minutes later he called us back and said he will be over at 9 o’clock in the morning. He came and tested the back floor regulator. He was responsive, showed up on time and his price was also good.

They are very responsive and thorough. They offer really reasonable prices. They provide really good customer service. They offer a great value for your money.
