They did a beautiful job on my patio! They may be a little high in pricing but it's worth the work. It was a beautiful job! I would definitely recommend them!

Once the work was done they were as well.  Very slow to respond and poor customer service post sale.  They spent more time defending and practically no time assisting.  They do not "own" what they sell or represent.

The project turned out beautifully...we love it!

Our experience with ACS was great.  We obtained several bids to have a new stamped patio with a fire pit and seating wall installed. ACS had competitive pricing, and invited us to their showroom to see the different stamp prints and color options.  Once we were there, we actually decided to add stone to our house as well.  It can be hard to visualize a project, and Joe made sure we were happy with the plan before installation.  All of the workers involved were very courteous and kept our yard clean throughout the process. We love the final result!

The whole experience was great, it was the second time we used this company. They show up when they say they will, all employees are nice and very helpful. They listen to what exactly it is you want and work with you to make it happen. If you ask for suggestions they are great about giving you some and real good about making sure you can visualize what they are describing. The job was started even sooner than we expected which was great. We are really happy with everything. Everyone that has seen the work they did has loved it and several have asked for their name and phone number. Would totally recommend them and would use them again!

Mike designed and built the most beautiful backyard patio and fire pit area for us! We've been looking forward to barbecue season and now we have this beautiful outdoor area to entertain with!

I came to my house to give me an estimate. I knew it was going to be expensive, but I have not yet been able to fit it into my budget. This company came on time as well. If I ever decide to do the project I would definitely give them a call.

Communication was terrible. I had to repeatedly follow-up regarding start date. Once the project started there was no communication from anyone. And then they were done and there still wasn't any communication. Following the project completion there were some issues and responsiveness was very good. They did work with me to resolve the issues but I don't feel they earned the premium I believed I was paying them for a professional level job. The clean-up was not at all what I expected. I was left with unfilled trenches surrounding the patio, chunks of concrete and dirt in the yard, and dust and dirt about everywhere else. I did get them to come back and fill the trenches but I was told this wasn't normally provided. I had to get the hose out to get was the dirt and dust off of everything. I had to request removal of concrete and sealer from a window three times. My recommendation for anyone else to discuss your expectations regarding communication and the clean-up project.

My biggest issue arose once the concrete was complete. The concrete was poured Friday morning, we were told we could be on it Friday pm (as long as we didn't drive a car on it), saw cutting was on Saturday followed by sealing. It was my understanding the patio should have been power washed between the saw cutting and sealing. I saw no signs that this was completed. One the sealer was dry it was apparent there were lots of imperfections under the sealer including a rather large boot print. After multiple visits the final resolution was that for whatever reason one portion of my concrete didn't cure correctly as the 50 lb dog left paw prints. In addition, it appeared that something wasn't right with the sealer. When the sealer was wet it was very clear there was not a consistent finish. The individual that applied the sealer stated that he believed water was getting under the sealer. The sales individual told me that was impossible and he has no idea why he would have told me that. Needless to say there was lots of back and forth in trying to resolve the issue. ACS did attempt to resolve the issue but not in a manner that I consider worthy of the premium I felt I was paying them. I finally gave up and accepted that I believe I overpaid for my end product.

Overall, I would say we are satisfied with the patio. There are some low spots where water tends to puddle and those spots distract from the overall look of the patio. Friends and neighbors think it looks GREAT. I think the initial price should have included one resealing after two years.

NEGATIVES (followed by Positives) about our experience with Artistic Concrete Services (ACS)
Lack of communication between salespeople and crew resulted in several mistakes which ACS corrected only after being asked to correct them.
We were not told that two courses of lap siding on our house would be removed and not replaced. Also a piece of existing patio, necessary for proper drainage around a fountain, was never in the plans to be removed but was demolished by mistake. After ACS planned to sign off on the job and these problems were brought to their attention, they returned and corrected them. (Many pieces of the replaced lap siding was installed upside down so the stamped name of the manufacturer showed at the bottom instead of being tucked under the siding immediately above it, and the siding is not attached very securely).

The ACS showroom has six different colors displayed with various stamp patterns available. The lighting for the display was not good and we were not certain any of the colors were right for our house so we asked for addresses to see actual patios in natural light. With persistence we were able to get three addresses that had only two of the colors, however the new sales manager expressed his reluctance by telling us that what were were asking for was and quot;hardand quot; and and quot;difficultand quot; for them to do. We felt rushed to make a color decision when the sales manager reminded us of a limited time to take advantage of a and quot;price break.and quot; We are solely responsible for selecting a color we were not comfortable with and our choice will be an enduring reminder of our hurried decision.

Clean up was adequate but it did not achieve the level of clean up we were led to believe we could expect of this company. This includes concrete on the grass and sand on the street which caused a motorcyclist to skid and turn over, causing minor injuries. Artistic Concrete Services apologized and we swept up the sand.

POSITIVES
The final product, the patio, is well done.
Once their mistakes and oversights were brought to their attention, ACS did the necessary corrections.
Mike Denny, co-owner,suggested an underground downspout drain vs. draining onto the sidewalk and Don Denny, co-owner, suggested a second underground drain on another side of the patio.
Regarding timelines only, there was excellent communication between the project manager/co-owner Don, and the homeowner.
The work was done in a timely manner.

With a short notice, they came by and poured the most beautiful rounded patio extension to blend in with the existing patio and provide a landing for my deck stairs. They were punctual, professional, and even came by afterwords to make sure I was happy with all the work and the patio. I would use them again.

They had to cut part of our iron fence in order to make the repair to our patio. They did not fix our fence after they said they would. We also had some wires on the ground that were supposed to buried beneath the patio but they did not do this and has been a pain trying to move around the patio.

ACS was by far the most affordable bid that we received and they also had the most options with regards to stamps and color. They also have a show room that allows you to see what you're getting before hand, which is better than just looking at photos. The installation process was quick and they were careful with my yard and other landscaping in the area. The finished product looks great.

I had contacted several other companies but ACS was the only one that provided what we were looking for. We only had a general idea in mind so needed a company that provided design as well as installation, cost was also a consideration. I called ACS and on the day promised, Tim Abbott showed up and listened to what we were looking to do. He made several recommendations (one of which was exactly what my husband wanted although Tim did not know that) and told me he would email me by the next day a design layout and price quote. He actually sent the email that same evening. We were not only pleased by the design but the price quote as well. We hurried over to their showroom in order to get on the schedule and pick out the color for our patio. Within a couple of weeks, Chance and his crew were laying our patio. Next came Nick and his crew who built our seating walls and column. Although they had to battle some rain, they stayed on top of the project and were done within a few days. At that point we had not contracted the softscaping to be done but once we saw the beautiful patio and walls we knew that we did not want to try our hand in deciding what to plant. We immediately asked Tim to design and give us a price quote for the landscaping. Again he emailed me the same night he was out giving us a detailed layout and price quote. We called him the next day asking when he could start. I am sitting on our beautiful patio surrounded by our beautiful landscaping as I type this. My husband and I cannot say enough about Mike Denny (owner) and his staff at ACS. If you want quality work from start to finish at a reasonable price you cannot go wrong with this company.

Our patio looks beautiful! The process went smoothly. The company was responsive and was prompt in giving us an estimate as well as an extensive list of references. They were on time and professional. They were responsive to my needs, including a minor concern we had. They provided excellent clean up! I would use them again in the future.

Using this company was a "shot in the dark" for us. Generally, we don't use anyone without a personal recommendation. However, after meeting with them at a local home show, we decided to take a chance. We had a good experience working with Mike,Tim and Don and their crew. They listened to our concerns and questions, were respectful of our property and completed the job promptly and professionally. The results of their work left us with a beautiful patio and a drain system that changed our backyard from a swamp into a usable space.

We absolutely love our new patio. We had a bad experience with other concrete companies in the past at another house so we were very leery. Artistic was so professional and great to work with. Mike had so many great ideas for our yard and really paid attention to what we wanted. When they started the job, Don met with us again beforehand to make sure everything came out exactly the way we wanted it. They worked so hard and diligently and they stayed on the job until it was done. Artistic was not the cheapest estimate we received but we were not going to just pick to lowest priced contractor again! Artistic was worth every penny...Best Contractor Experience We've ever had!!!
