I recieved a quote over the phone. I just needed a single garage door opener installed. The service man came out and said he could not do the job they had told me about and he would have to install something different that would cost an extra $600. I said no. a few weeks later they called me back and asked if they could send out a more experienced serviceman. He was able to install the door without difficulty and did a great job. It was just frustrating that I had to refuse the first service offered when he thought it couldn't be done. I had trouble with the door 6 months later and they were going to charge me to come out and look at it even though it should have been on warranty. After speaking with a manager they wouldn't budge on the service cost even if I opted out of lettting them fix it if it didn't end up being related to the warranty coverage.

Everything went very well. The only reason we used them over another provider that we had been using was that Shawnee gave us a cheaper price. The guy on the phone was okay, and the guy who came out was good. I would use them again.

After a very frustrating experience with another contractor, Bob fixed the problem promptly at a fair price.  He was professional and obviously knew what he was doing unlike the previous contractor who after 4 visits had not completed the repair.  Bob noted all the poor tradecraft by the previous contractor as he went through the repair process.
I would highly recommend Shawnee Overhead Door for anyone needing Garage door service.

However, when he noticed a leak (which caused the problem) he recommended that the leak be fixed before he replaced the cable.  Then he returned in a timely manner but didn't charge another service call (which I really appreciated.

Bob is AWESOME!  What a great job from start to finish.  I had a broken spring and it was fixed the same day I called.  Not only did the spring get replaced but it was replaced with a more durable, heavier spring for a longer life.  Bob also replaced some bad weather strip on the bottom of the door.  Made some adjustments and got my door running like 8 years ago!
The insulated doors he sold me 8 years ago have been a great addition to my new home.  I would hire Bob again and would refer him to any friends or relatives.

Bob was courteous and professional.  He also advised us that our garge door set up was showing signs of age, and we should think about getting a new one.

VERY RESPONSIVE AND HELPFUL. HE ALWAYS CALLS US BACK PROMPTLY AND WORKS WITH OUR SCHEDULE. WE HAVE CALLED HIM SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE LAST SEVEN YEARS.

BOB SHOPE ARRIVED ON TIME, WAS VERY NICE AND THE SERVICE WAS REASONABLY PRICED. HE MADE SURE NO ONE WAS CLOSE WHEN HE WAS WORKING, IN CASE THE SPRINGS SPRUNG.

BOD SHOPE WAS VERY QUICK TO RESPOND TO OUR CALL THE NEXT DAY, AND WAS QUICK TO FIX OUR PROBLEM INEXPENSIVELY. ALSO, HE TAUGHT US ABOUT GARAGE DOOR OPENERS, HOW THEY VARIED AND HOW THE BEST ONES WORKED. WE WILL NEED A NEW OPENER SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE AND WE WILL CALL HIM.

THE SPRING BROKE ON THE GARAGE DOOR, ON THE WEEKEND AND AFTER HOURS. PLACED A CALL AND HE WAS ABLE TO COME OUT EARLY MONDAY MORNING TO FIX. HE ALSO WALKED ME THROUGH HOW TO BE ABLE TO GET MY CARS OUT OF GARAGE UNTIL HE COULD SHOW UP.
