Chris came to my house, at 6 o'clock on a Friday night, the only time I had available, with the vendor, and gave me the exact cost of the windows, no mark up at all. Told me the truth about having a house built in 1963 and the problems he may encounter. Told me it would be a three day job, told me I could save money by having my husband remove the existing trim. Windows showed up 2 weeks later, my husband removed the trim (honey do thing). Called Chris that day and he put us on the schedule for the following week. He showed up on time, 8am on Thursday morning, as promised, with everything he needed to get it done, no down time, didn't need to "get supplies" and got it done Saturday afternoon. Neighbors all came over to "inspect" his work and were envious of the new windows. Also had an issue with our crawl space causing odors in the house, smelled musty all the time and didn't know what to do. He quoted us a price to put plastic on the floor of the crawl space because it was just a dirt floor and would keep the moisture from coming in. Said he could put a ventilation system in but would be smart to try a regular box fan to circulate the air from our basement into the space before spending any extra money if we didn't need it. Weather has been warmer than normal but so far have had no issues with the smell, house feels warmer and couldn't be happier. His helper (don't remember his name) was very coureous and kept everything moving, taking measurements and installing all the trim as Chris cut it.  Couldn't be happier. Made my Old house feel new.

We hired Chris to build a fireplace surround and install a fireplace. He stated at that time that is hourly charge includes a helper. We were told the helper could install lights and do some other stuff around the house while the other person  worked on the fireplace. We stopped in often to check on the progress and noticed that is was usually the "helper" doing all the work and Chris was most often not at the job. Towards the end of the fireplace job we noticed most of the lights had not been installed and we discussed it and he told be it was take another week to get the lights installed, but Steven (helper) said 2.5 days so Chris said : We will go with the 2.5 days."  I emailed him on March 19th and asked him if he could do the lights install as they were had almost all been delivered. He then had a conversation that night with Wyatt. Wyatt again told him that when he hit the 2 day mark to leave the easy sconces. Conversation ended and Steven showed up the next day and started installing lights. I noticed the progress was going slowly, but did not think much of it as Chris was never present while I was there the whole week and I was there many hours. I asked Steven when Chris would be here and a few times he said tomorrow to install the 2 outlets. I asked the next day again when he would be here to do that and again I was told the next day. It was finely done and I did notice they went over there 2.5 days but since Chris was never present I figured the man hours were figured differently. I had a conversation with Chris when he came to my house to get the check and told him that is was not right and he stood in my home and insisted on the money even though I told him that was not right and I did not own him a weeks worth of work. He charged me 2966 to install 20 light and 2 outlets. The amount agreed upon during many verbal conversations was 2.5 days at 1400. I felt lied to and taken advantage of in this matter. This is an unfair business practice and everyone should know how he operates. His work on some of the repairs is average at best. Stay away from this company.
