The carpentry was beautifully done and the result is beautiful and durable. Our house and property looked greatly improved and lovely. I had not even thought very much about drainage issues in the timbered flowerbeds, but Rod installed a lengthy drain pipe he covered with a stiff nylon and then covered with rock. On top of that he put the soil and mulch so that the drain is not visible at all, but is able to do its work providing drainage. Rod, who is actually visually handicapped in his central vision (and therefore not allowed to drive himself) has learned how to use his peripheral vision so that he can see what he is doing, and he is very careful to make sure eveything is measured properly. He knows a great deal about houses and landscaping from years of experience. He demonstrated skill with carpentry, plumbing, sheetrock, and working on external facia and soffit. He had a subcontractor who did part of the work one day when Rod had to be somewhere else. His sub was also a fine guy and good landscaper. Recently, when a single mother who just bought a house needed a handyman, I arranged for Rod to go over and provide help for her with several items in the house. He replaced a toilet that not only was defective, but was not seated properly, fixed a broken storm door, and gave her advice on some things she could do herself to improve the property. She was thrilled with his work and the reasonableness of his charges. She plans to have him back soon to help with landscaping and drainage issues. I had him back recently myself to discuss a possible shower leak and also pouring some new front steps. I am looking forward to his being able to help with these things. Rod is a humble, pleasant man, who really wishes to please his customers.

Rod gave me a written estimate for all phases of the job. He came the day he promised and remained in constant contact with
Me all day. When the other problems were revealed extra time was needed to finish all the work. He arranged the gutter work and was back 2 days later to finish the facia. The gutter went up the next wednesday. All work was done to my satisfaction. The only minor complaint I have is we thought the cleanup could have been a bit better. Overall a very good experience with our first use of a handyman. I will certainly use him again.

When I needed a basement turned into an apartment, I knew who to call as I had used them with wonderful results in the past. Rod's company helped clear out a messy accumulation of stuff from a basement area, removed carpet and glued down backing, replaced it with great looking laminate and tiled the bathroom area. They tore out a bedroom ceiling that had water damage, made necessary repaired and replaced the ceiling seamlessly. They installed kitchen cabinets, sink, counter tops and lighting. They picked up and delivered the refrigerator. I purchased. They arranged for me to get a $200 gift certificate and Home Depot to be used on the purchase of supplies for the remodel. They located two walls behind which there was termite damage from the past and.and repaired them. They replaced window coverings and molding to the finished basement area. The men from this company are trustworthy, skilled and delightful... and every one was a Christian. They were always respectful and tidy and were willing to work hard to help me reach a deadline for completion. When I needed advise on hiring an electrician for some special work, they guided me through the process of choosing the right company for a good price. When I was unsure of the counter-top I wanted, they met me at the store to discuss pros and cons of those I was considering which made my final decision much easier. These fellows have guided me to make wise decisions that saved me money even when it meant they would loose out on a job. HOW DID I KNOW THEY WERE THE COMPANY I WANTED TO HIRE? In 2010 or 2011, I needed a flashing repaired and some work to reattach an area of the roof to the flashing. I got three bids and Rod's Home Repair was the best price, plus they could schedule it in a timely manner. When the work was completed, the bill they gave me was MUCH less than the estimate. When I questioned it, they said the job had taken less time and material than they expected and the bill reflected the difference. You could have knocked my socks off!! In the time between the flashing work and the basement remodel, this company has replaced two sections of fence, repaired a place where the fence was failing because of tree growth, added soil around my foundation and reseeded the area, installed a stone path from my drive to the backyard, and repaired plumbing,
