They where great, very friend and helpful. This is my first pool so I had them com out and do a pool closing and cleaning. They made sure to let me now I can ask them any question about pool care and they where more than willing to help me out with answers and service. I will defently be hiring them back when it is time to reopen my pool.

In September of 2013 I had another contractor come to my house to replace the sand in my filter after I had closed the pool for the fall. In the process, they discovered that a large section of piping inside the filter was fractured, so I had them repair that while on-site. They ran water through the filter to distribute the new sand properly, but did not drain it after they finished. It never occurred to me to check that, so the filter froze over the winter. I was ill the following spring, and when I opened the pool in mid-summer, all the new sand immediately washed into the pool. I ended up recovering the pool and leaving it that way until this spring. I then called Pool Service Company to make additional repairs. They arrived promptly, showed me exactly what they were doing, and did an expert repair job at a very fair price. I was not yet ready to open the pool for the summer, so we decided that I would try to clean the bottom later myself, and would call them back if it was too much for me to handle. That's what I ended up doing, and I wrote a separate review for that work. This will be my go-to company in the future for all pool work.

This was a huge job because the pool had 2+ years of accumulated dirt, leaves, algae and other debris and the water was too opaque to clean up with the bottom junk killing the chlorine so fast. Additionally, there was approximately 65 pounds of filter sand on the bottom that I did not wish to sweep through the impeller of my pump. At my age, this job was much too daunting. The owner's sons came out very promptly when requested, and worked very hard over several hours to get the job done. They turned off the pump overnight to let the water settle out a bit, and then came back to give it a major shock. The job wasn't cheap, but I'm very satisfied with the work done, and I like the family immensely.

This is the first review that I have written for Angie's List, but I just wanted to let you know that you can trust your pool needs to Doug.  The bearings of the motor on our pool pump were going out and making a horrible noise.  Our prior pool company could not come out for days.  Since the noise was so bad, we looked on Angie's list and decided to call Doug based on his top ratings.  We spoke with him yesterday morning on the phone.  He met with us at our house to see what our pool needs were 3 hours later.  He helped us to eliminate a feature of the new pool pump we did not need that saved us money and told us about a $100 rebate online we could get.  We had also wanted to get a pool heater.  Doug had so much knowledge about pools and pumps that we asked him about the heater too.  He called around and was able to find the heater that we wanted, so that he could install the new pump and heater at the same time.  Despite a heat index of over 100 yesterday and a severe thunderstorm this morning, Doug was able to install both the new pool pump and heater within 24 hours of meeting with us.  We (and our neighbors) will sleep well tonight with our quite new pump.  Without a doubt, we will be using Doug to open our pool, close our pool and do any other needed future repairs to our pool.

This was our first year and it went fantastic, very happy and satisfied.

I really liked working with Doug. When we decided to switch pool service providers, I called Doug based on Angie's List reviews. He commented that he had worked on my pool before we bought the house with a previous owner and he remembered stuff about the pool. We had them open and close our pool and signed up for the weekly service at $50/week + chemicals. We had 13 weeks of service. 
The first week our pool started to turn green and I called Doug and his team was out there immediately. He also replaced a light that had leaked previously and made sure to send out the right people to fix the leak. He was very responsive during the summer. We had a part break on our pump and he had it fixed immediately. The whole summer was pretty stress free with maintaining the pool. 
We didn't receive a progress bill from Pool Service until October and then a final bill in January. As such, my biggest complaint is timeliness in the billing process as I had no idea what that bill was going to look like with some of the repair work done and chemicals. However, service was excellent. 
Overall, I would recommend them and they do a great job.

On the scheduled date, I called Doug to see what time he would arrive, he gave me two options, which was really helpful. He arrived on time and went right to work.  He had actually done pool maintenance for the people that had previously owned our home, so he already knew where everything was.  Being a new pool owner, I had some questions for him and he answered them all patiently and gave me some great advice.  He finished the job quickly and efficiently.  We will call him again next season, but we'll give him more notice this time.  :)

Doug did a tremendous amount of very challenging work on my pool when others just turned away as though it was just too much work. Doug is both intelligent and inquisitive enough to sort out some very illusive solutions to a situation where others just threw up their hands. He spent hours restoring the surface of my pool, saving the one year old filter, replacing the cholorinator and countless other issues with absolute dedication to doing it right, meeting commitments, communicating clearly and professionally. He is punctual and thorough, thoughtful and consistently patient and persevering and fair in the face of some major challenges. When I move out of state and have a pool I fear it will be impossible to find his equal. 
I highly recommend Doug, without reservation.

Doug is very professional and knowledgeable.  We've followed his advice and have had no issues.  We'll be staying with him because he's very qualified!  I think the Deal price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the quality of their work.  He was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions.

.Doug and I have been friends for more than 30 yrs.  I had installed my pool while he was a sales clerk for the old Holiday Pools.
Holiday Pools is long gone.   Doug  was my goto guy for answers, back then I was a pool newby.  I was in business for myself and I encouraged him to break out and just go for it on his own.  He was very cautious,  but eventually he did start his own company and I have used him exclusively ever since to open and close my pool each year.

We have had our pool for 3 years and have had issues with other pool companies.  I contacted Doug and set an appointment to have them open our pool.  I was very pleased with technician that came out to do the service.  I showed him the chemicals that I had in stock, to see if he could use what I had initially. The shock I had on hand was not the right product and he suggested I use his products for the initial shock.  I was fine with that.  We have an auto cover on our pool but we still get leaves in the pool in the fall, he told me about a device I can purchase to put over the opening to keep the leaves out.  I will purchase the device from them in the fall.  This past fall the company that we hired drained the water level to about 4 inches below skimmers, and we couldn't open our cover as the water level was too low. He also explained to that we don't have to take water out of the pool to close it. I was very pleased to hear this and we will use this company to close our pool.  Very please with the service and recommend this company to anyone looking for a good honest company.

He's very meticulous and thorough.  I went through so many pool service companies and was so dissatisfied.  He's not the cheapest, but he's the best.

They were terrific! I used them for the entire summer for a weekly service. My pool also sparkled when they left. They knew how to always make sure that it was perfect. if i called them they would always come out and take care of that issues. They were so professional, polite and my pool was perfect. It was clean and worked well. I live in the country and my pool gets everything in it. I live in the country and that was not a problem for them. They always in total communication with me as well!

First experience with this firm.  We used a well known company for over ten years and become dissatisfied with their service, price and attitude.
This firm came right on time, did the work within the bid and were professional and pleasant.  Will continue to use.

Excellent experience.  Doug said what he would do and did what he said.  He was courteous and informative.  We had never owned a pool before and Doug took the time to explain the process and answer all questions.  Very pleased with his services.

I am still using them. They are friendly and they are very informative. They are happy to answer questions and they will come out and fix things you ask them to. If you see the pool is getting cloudy they will come over and fix it even if it is not your scheduled day. I am really happy with their service. I think their price could be lower, but they do give excellent service so I pay for it.

It went great.  Doug was very informative and helped me understand some of the components that my old pool didn't have that the new pool was equipped with.

I called Pool Service Co to come winterize my hot tub.  The technician came out the day after I called.  He was very knowledgeable and was willing to answer all of my questions.
