Nolan's structural report caused the sale of my house to fall through. Following the lost sale, I asked a very highly rated foundation company to come to my house to make a bid on Nolan's suggestions. This foundation company read through the report, looked at my foundation and told me that they wouldn't recommend doing anything that Nolan suggested. This company actually walked away from a profitable job and recommended that I get a second opinion from another structural engineer. I hired Norton & Schmidt to do a second structural inspection on my house, and they too disagreed with Nolan's assessment. At this moment, my house is back on the market and I am required to disclose Nolan's report, and it is killing the sale of my home. I contacted Nolan and asked him to come back to my house for another inspection (I wanted to discuss the discrepancies between his report and the findings of both the foundation repair company and Norton & Schmidt's report), but he is unwilling to come back to my house.
