I heard about these guys at work when I ran in to a commercial HVAC guy, I asked about a good, reasonable company in the area. He recommended McCarty saying that they are UNION workers which is rare in HVAC. A member of a UNION myself, I appreciate that. I got a quote from them on another project, but another company was available sooner and I thought could do plumbing on the same call. I should have waited for McCarty. The other 3-letter company sent out a 'hero' and charged me over $400 to do less than a humidifier install. This job went great, showed up on-time, good communication, quality workmanship. My house had no floor drain in the utility room, so someone previously had drilled a hole through the wall to drain the A/C coil. This wouldn't work because it would freeze during winter with the humidifier, so they set up a genius drain system that tied it into a laundry drain for both humidifier & A/C coil. No more random hose through the wall dripping on my foundation!

Tim provided a quote and walked me through what all would be done.  He worked with me to figure out the best location for the indoor and outdoor units for aesthetics, operational effectiveness and ease of installation.  Once we agreed to go with Mccarty Mechanical we set a date and his crew arrived right on time.  The crew was extremely polite, friendly and professional.  They knock the job out in about 7 hours and all is great!

i met the owner, Tim, to learn about product and services offered.  After checking alternative suppliers and products, I elected to go with McCarty Mechanical and I'm glad that I did.  Everyone associated with the business from owner to installer were very professional, timely and did the work and cleaned up afterwards quite well.

We have been lucky to have the same service person, Paul, since the HVAC in our home of 20 plus years has needed occasional service.  He is always courteous, fair, prompt, quick and thorough.  McCarty's has alwys provided us with expedient and professional service.  So, since becoming an Angie's List member, I decided to check to see if they were listed and give them the feedback they deserve.  Our AC is up and running in less than 24 hours after placing the service call.  Replacement part seems to be near wholesale cost.  Labor is extremely reasonable.

excellent !!!!! I had 2 estimates in september and wasn't sure who to use. I remembered McCarty and called them in october, they came right out and gave me a bid for the work. I was very pleased how they presented the options and felt that I could trust them. I had a whole new system in less than two weeks. The actual work only took two days. These guys really gave me my monies worth, they even got me a new water heater and installed it for free, the old one was three years old and was leaking. They said it was covered under the manufacturers warranty. Now that was above and beyond service, I would have paid for it if they wanted but they just took care of it. Talk about honest and trustworthy! Dick Allen was the salesman and the service man was mr. Swanson Jason I think, but he was super too. Very polite and knowledgable and a good worker with skill. My new system is perfect! They ended up being the lowest price but I really don't hire trades just on price. This company is just great!

Besides for the price tag, it was a very painless experience. The unit was running as well as the first day it was installed 7 years later. When people had to use their ceiling fans to help cool their upstairs in extreme heat, we did not. We did get our money's worth. Any staff we dealth with was courteous and knowledable. They steered us in the right direction within our budget.

The installation went fine. The installer was on time and did a good job while he was here; he was kind to my kids who were in the way some of the time. There was a bit of a snag at the end with the new thermostat. I contacted the company the next day and the owner (Ed McCarty) answered the phone! I explained our situation with him and he agreed to have a service tech come the same day to make sure everything was working as it should. The tech arrived and was not only good at what he did, but was customer savvy! Suffice it to say that if I have any problems in the future or need regular maintenance, I will be asking for AJ (the tech that helped me)! I can't speak highly enough of AJ, Ed McCarty, or McCarty Mechanical. If anyone is considering the purchase of a new air conditioner or furnace, do not hesitate to call these folks... they'll do whatever it takes - and their prices are hard to beat!

I feel I can truly trust these people. They have serviced our furnace before, have done good work. Have dealt with us honestly. Has patiently answered informative questions over the phone for various reasons. Gives good advice. Provided a name of an electrician, who we used and was pleased with.

I had them install a new furnace for me in December, 2005, which was crucial because it was getting cold, and my old furnace was on its last leg. My old furnace was not efficient like the new furnaces are, so I wasn't getting my money for my heat bill with it. One man came out, was on time, cleaned up after himself, and the furnace is working great! I would recommend them to anyone!

The gentleman who did the sales and sizing of the units was very knowledgeable, and did a convincing job. They started the installation the next week. There were a few SMALL hitches. The installer hooked the humidifier to 110v instead of 24v, and fried the unit. When investigating the problem he nearly fried himself. The lines entering the house were not caulked. The armored line to the disconnect does not cover the wires where they enter the house. They used wire nuts to make outside connections, these are not weather proof or safe. They left some duct material behind. Lastly there was no city inspection.

I purchased new 1200 sqft condo and wanted to add humidifier. furnace room is quite tiny and there was some question whether it would fit. Another pain was PVC pipe coming out of hot water heater to supply water to humidifier; they prefer copper. They measured and determined how to make it fit, and identified I may need to install a section of copper pipe if valve leaked. Install was scheduled for about 2 hour, but ended up taking most of a day given tight working quarters. They graciously stuck with initial cost estimate without any complaints. A few days later there was some leakage in valve to PVC pipe. I called and they came back the next day to inspect whether it would hold or not at no charge. They provided a lot of instruction on operation and settings of humidifier in winter and summer. I've used them for annual maintenance for the last 2 years. Always prompt, courteous and willing to answer any questions.
