I needed a few plumbing and HVAC items done around my house and Dan has always been my 'go-to' person. He's timely, affordable, and always does an exceptional job. He arrived when I needed him to and took less time than expected and gave me a fair price. He will always tell you everything that needs to be fixed and give you the best price and way to get it done. He'll always be the first person I call when I need something.

Dan was fantastic.  His work was of superior quality.  He was flexible with our schedule and responsive to all of our inquiries.  In our first consultation he advised as to the work that needed to be done.  He understood our needs and our budget for the project, and I felt that he didn't try to "up sell" any unnecessary services.  Because this is a rental property, he had good suggestions for what needed to be done to get our duplex up to code.  His work was done under budget and early.  Dan came recommended by several members of my family who have used him for years.  I am very happy to recommend his services to anyone who needs good work done well.

Dan has done all of my plumbing and electric repairs and upgrades since I bought my house 3 years ago, and he's one of the only service people whose work I've been completely satisfied with.  I'm very picky about quality, and Dan always exceeds my expectations.  He's also done significant work for my parents, who asked me to pass along their rave reviews.
He always shows up when he says he will, is very affordable, has the patience to explain electric and plumbing work so I can understand it (and does so even when I don't think to ask), fixes everything right the first time, and has even talked me out of one project that would have been a much larger undertaking than I realized.
A few winters ago, Dan really went above and beyond when my pipes froze.  My house has exposed piping in what I suspect is the world's smallest crawl space, and Dan climbed right in there to thaw the frozen pipes without even mentioning how cramped and dark the space was.  I'm too uncomfortable to even go in there myself, and I've had many service people refuse to deal with it, but to Dan it was apparently just part of the job.  I really can't say enough good things about him.

I have known Dan for more than 10 years.  He is reliable, does outstanding work, cleans his work area, and charges reasonably.  Actually, I have always assumed he is priced competitively, but he's the only plumber I've ever used, so I have no frame of reference.  But, even if he is not, I would gladly pay premium because he is worth absolutely every cent of it!
Dan was early to our appointment--he was waiting on me!--and he was done in about 20 minutes.  But, the great part of the story is this: About a week later, Dan called me, and said, "I can't get this out of my mind, but I'm not entirely sure I remembered to re-run the dishwasher hose to the disposal. I hate to trouble you, but can you meet me back at your parents' place so I can know for sure?"  He came on his own time, on a weekend, just because it had been nagging him all week!  And of course, he had done everything right, but that is how conscientious he is about his work.
There was another time last summer when a hose under our kitchen sink, which he had installed previously, cracked and starting leaking about 12 hours before we were going on vacation.  He came out on a Sunday afternoon, identified that his part was defective, and changed it without charge. 
I don't know what I will do when he retires!  He is just amazing and a good, good person.

He tore out old carpet and cheap asphalt flooring, hauled all the junk away.  He had estiamted all of the sq ft of tile needed and I picked out what I wanted at a local tile shop and Dan picked it up.  He installed all of the tile, replaced plumbing in all the toilet fixtures,an painted the trim and walls.  No problems of any sort.

We thought they were very professional and knowledgeable.  We will definitely use them again in the future.

Dan Malin has a great work ethic and highly skilled at what he does, which is just about everything.  I have known him for the last 10 years because he does the upkeep, maintenance, remodeling, electrical, plumbing and whatever we ask him to do for our 7000 square foot office building (I am one of the owners).   He is always there fast! when we need him for an urgent job!   He is fast and efficient, and has great suggestions.  This last job  that I described above was a simple electrical job I had him do at my house, and he completed it with the same level of speed and quality as usual. You will not go wrong with Malin's!

Perfect job, on time, great clean-up and very nice tile work.  He repainted all the wood trim and replaced, it looks better then when the house was new!
