One reason we chose them is that they are a smaller company which can provide personal attention to your project. They also specialize in basement finishes, so there is nothing that they haven't seen. They provided a personal touch as well. I was able to speak with the general contractor daily as the project progressed. With any large project, there are some hiccups along the way, but when that occurred, they worked hard to correct the problem. There was never an issue that was not resolved to our satisfaction. For example, a subcontractor tore up some of the lawn while excavating the egress window. Chase (the general contractor) worked to re-level and re-seed the lawn immediately after that incident. The project progressed like any full finish would. In order, they completed, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, tile, trim, cabinet installation, paint, carpet and finishing details. Overall, the basement finish level far exceeds our existing builder's home finish upstairs. We feel that they used high quality materials. And if anything does fail, KC Home Creations offers a two year warranty on the project. All the other companies we received estimates from only offered a one year warranty. They were also willing to install anything extra that we purchased such as in-ceiling speakers. We could not be happier with the end result.
