KC Water Heaters

Everything went extremely well. Its a small, family owned local, business. Chase was friendly, professional and did a great, neat job. He takes his time, explains everything and is very knowledgeable. The warranty is very good and I would definitely use them again. Thank you.

Chase Thompson, owner of KC Water Heaters, is a master plumber with a fuel gas certification. Chase replaced our two 15-year old gas water heaters with two new Bradford White tanks. The fuel gas certification is important to us since we know that a lot of houses do not have proper venting. Sure enough our old tanks had the melted plastic evidence of prior backdrafts. We spent time with him discussing various tank options as well as different configurations for plumbing setup. We decided on a "reverse return" plumbing setup as recommended by the tank manufacturer (Bradford White). We had other quotes from more well-known plumbing companies but they recommended the more well-known "parallel" or "in series" setups even with Bradford White units. I'm not sure they know "reverse return" setups. Chase installed the manufacturer-recommended plumbing setup and increased the size of the vents to properly handle the exhaust and be compliant with code. He gets city permits on his jobs. He also replaced the PRV valve which was old and not providing adequate water pressure. He was at the house for 6-7 hours and worked hard the entire time with no breaks. He is very knowledgeable and easy to speak with, and all he does is water heaters, so you're working with an expert. I highly recommend him.

It was replaced quickly and he went beyond the job and attended to a couple of small issues that he saw at no additional expense to us. Amazing service in this day and age.

Went great. Chase knows his stuff and was great at explaining the various options. At the install you can tell he takes pride in his work and seems to work as though it was his own house or family members house. He took the time to test out everything needed and explain how it all works, etc... so that we would know what to check for down the road.

Came out day after we called. Had it hooked up and running quickly. We never run out of hot water anymore. Since we did a high efficiency furnace a couple years ago the power vent water heater meant the flue was no longer needed and there will be one less hole to cut in our new roof we get in a month. Did a great job explaining how important proper ventilation is.

Excellent service provider. Great knowledge, professionalism, and communication skills plus a better water heater at a lower price than the other bids. And, he fixed an unsafe HVAC venting issue that the HVAC maintenance company had missed on many annual visits. I'll never go back to a big company again because too much gets lost in translation between the salesman and the installer. I highly recommend this provider.

Did a wonderful Job!!

Needed someone to come look at my water because mine had gone out. He offered to come the same day I called and even took some of his personal time to do so. He was very professional when installing the water heater. Always answered my questions honestly and with a very professional answer. His experience really shows and prides himself on helping others. He does not try to sell extra stuff to you but he will mention potential issues you may notice in your house that one may not think about. I mentioned to him about slow water pressure. He mentioned a possible cause of it being the pressure release valve. I wasn't aware that was an item that needed replacing. He offered to fix it if I wanted but in no way did he pressure me to do so. I took him up on the offer and I can tell a difference. I would highly recommend him. Hard to come by people that take pride in helping others in many ways then one and not trying to constantly pressure them into buying extras.

Absolutely amazing company!! THIS is who you want to call! We had called a few other companies and this company has the best rates by far AND installs a better brand water heater than other companies I called. Chase is very knowledgeable and professional, really great to work with. He will tell you all about different types of water heaters if you are curious! He agreed to come out the same day we called him and not only did he replace our water heater and sump pump, he noticed our fire alarm was not wired correctly so he fixed it for free. Look no more- call Chase!! I will never go anywhere else again!

I wish I could give KC Water Heaters more than 5 stars. I can't say enough good things about this company. After a horrible experience with a local plumbing company, Chase (the owner of KC Water Heaters) got us all fixed up and at a lower price than what the other plumbing company quoted. If you need a water heater - CALL CHASE!!! You won't regret it.

This all started because I had a two-handle tub faucet that needed to be replaced.  I am a fairly savvy
do-it-yourselfer. I have put in many faucets prior to this install. Nonetheless, I ran into several different challenges when installing this faucet. What challenges is not important. The point is, after working on this project for 3 days, I threw in the towel and called KC Water Heaters. I called them because my son and daughter-in-law had used KC Water Heaters and strongly
recommended them.  They especially like Chase.  So, I called the company and Chase came out the next day.   After a brief discussion about my issue, Chase looked at my worked and told me that he would run out to his truck and solder a
copper elbow for me.  So he did (in about 30 seconds :-).  He gave me the elbow and told me he thought I could install it myself, but said that I could contact him if I had any problems.  Now, what is especially wonderful about this is before Chase soldered the pipe, he had told me that his company didn't really do this type of plumbing. His company specialized only in water heater installations. However, Chase said he didn?t mind dropping by to see if he could help.  Well, I did installed the pipe and my project was completed successfully. The funny thing is a few months later, I woke up one morning to find a water puddle underneath my water heater.  Who do you think I called?  Of course, I called KC Water Heaters.  Again, Chase came out the next day.  After a thorough examination of the situation, he provided clear and understandable options. I did not feel pressured to make any particular choice and I felt like I was given enough information in order to make a knowledgeable decision. I was exceptionally pleased with the final project (Chase installed up-to-code plumbing and a new water heater). The install was highly proficient and he did a detailed clean up too.  I will recommend KC Water Heaters to all of my family and friends. Chase is extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

Our water heater suddenly quit working on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of doing laundry.  My husband thought it would be a simple fix and ran up to Lowe's to get the parts.  It turned out to be 'unfixable' so we finished the laundry in cold water -- not a huge issue--but cleaning up after dinner and before bed was miserable (very cold weather, very cold water, etc.).   We started pricing water heaters on the internet but it's kind of 'iffy' depending on internet reviews plus my husband was scheduled for surgery later in the week for a hernia so I was very uncomfortable with him doing such heavy lifting even with help from a friend.  Besides, what do you do with an old water heater?  Anyway, do-it-yourself didn't seem like the wisest thing to do.
SO, early on Monday I called Chase at KC Water Heater -- he gave me a price which I thought sounded reasonable (especially after pricing replacement water heaters from local do-it-yourself stores).  Unfortunately he was heavily booked that day but thought he might be available late in the day IF his last job turned out to be a repair rather than a replacement.   He said he would let me know.  When he called later he said the repair had become another replacement and was going to take a while.  I guess I sounded extremely disappointed because he said he could come out late if we didn't mind it being after 8 or 9 PM -- if he was willing I definitely didn't mind, especially as cold as it was and after using extremely cold water for everything all day.  He said he would have to go back to his shop and would be here as soon as possible.  True to his word, he showed up with a new water heater which he installed quickly, took away the old one, and charged exactly what he had quoted that morning.  Hot water never felt so good.
