Impact Restoration, Inc is an emerging, multi-jurisdictionally licensed Class A Damage Restoration Contractor, perfectly positioned to assist you (and/or your company) with the lengthy, and sometimes contentious process of finalizing fair payment for property loss. We make use of the latest tools, tips and technologies to ensure that your claim is properly documented and professionally presented for a fair assessment. Insurance companies have staff, adjusters and attorneys aligned to represent their interests. Who is helping you? We do NOT act as public adjusters. While we may speak directly with your insurance company, or your insurance company's appointed representative (often an independent claims adjuster), we only discuss damages that are present and the costs associated with repairing them. We are not providing insurance advice nor do we offer any legal advice. Rather, we offer our professional opinion of the construction issues related to damage so that we can complete the repairs and restore your property to its pre-loss (pre-storm damaged) condition.

We install all types of hard surface flooring. This includes Tile, Hardwood, Laminate, Sheet Vinyl and Luxury Vinyl tiles or planks. I usually do installations myself. But on bigger projects and/or jobs that need to be completed in a timely fashion, I have one to two helpers. The helpers may just be laborers or other expert contractors. A bid would be preformed, submitted by email and agreed upon prior to start of any installation. Materials are usually selected and purchased by customer, unless specified. I can help with getting materials by directing customers to one of my distributers. Our goal is to give our customers a proper installation that will make them completely satisfied and excited about. We try to do everything to perfection. Our slogan is " Perfection meets your Satisfaction". We do every install to the manufacturers recommendations to insure your full warranty with the product being installed. We make sure the install meets all guidelines from my company and the manufacturer. The installation shall be paid in full upon completion.

Hardwood Flooring questions, answered by experts

A subfloor will often last for the life of the house—somewhere between 50 and 100 years—if it avoids water damage, mold, termites, and other things that can cause it to age faster. If a subfloor sees continued exposure to moisture, it can warp, grow mold, or rot and last a much shorter time.

A transition piece between carpet stairs and wood flooring isn't always necessary. A transition piece separates two types of flooring in between rooms and areas, like carpet and vinyl. Because the carpet on the stairs tucks into the seam, you can’t see the fringes, and there is no need to hide anything. However, you can use a stair cap if your stairs have a nose.

Sometimes, it’s best to avoid putting flooring under cabinets or installing the cabinets first. Installing cabinets on top of the flooring can void the flooring warranty. This can be a costly problem, especially if accidental flooring damage occurs during installation. Also, it’s not a good idea to install cabinets over floating floors, such as laminate, that need room to expand and contract. Finally, avoiding installing flooring under kitchen cabinets is a more budget-friendly option as you will use fewer materials.

Yes, you can mop hardwood floors with a damp flat or string mop as long as it is not soaking wet. Always avoid leaving standing water or fully soaking your hardwood floors, even if they are properly finished. A slightly wet mop, with or without cleaning solutions, will not damage the wood.

Even if you’re just replacing your carpet and not your baseboards, experts recommend removing existing baseboards before installing new carpet. This allows for a clean and seamless installation without the risk of damaging the baseboards or the carpet. Additionally, removing the baseboards gives you the opportunity to stain or repaint them as well as inspect and repair any underlying issues with the walls or flooring.
