Auto Service
Let me start by saying William is a very nice person. The oil change on the car and rewire on the headlight were fine.
An oil change on the truck left me stranded and I lost a day's work because within a few miles the oil leaked out of the truck. They paid for the tow and told me the seal on the filter was bad, but I've had other mechanics tell me it sounds like they didn't take the old gasket off. Either way, I was cleaning oil off my truck and out of my garage for 3 months.
I took the truck in for a ball joint replacement. William wanted to do the brakes. They weren't ready to be changed but he said it would be easier to do them when it was apart. I told him to wait and he did them anyway. He didn't change me for the pads but when I brought it back because it was making a horrible grinding noise, William said the pads probably had dirt on them and the noise would stop. I called a few times about it and brought it in for the oil change debacle and they said there was nothing wrong with it. I took it to another shop and they said the calipers were installed wrong. The new shop fixed it.
The ball joints still aren't right. They squeak. The new tires ($1600 a set) starting wearing at an alarming rate. I took it back and they said I needed new shocks and it would be $750. At this point my trust factor was gone. I took it to another shop and they said the shocks were fine but when ball joints are done a wheel alignment needs to be done and it wasn't. $100 for a wheel alignment and the tires quit wearing and the truck rode a LOT better.
While this shop tries and they are nice, I think they lack experience. Their prices are average, their turnover good, but the quality of work is very subpar.
