We are very happy with the new ceiling. The team found it challenging to trim the wood ceiling into the stucco porch structure, because of the unevenness of 100 years of layered repairs. But they were able to create a smooth look all around with varied layers of trim.
We had struggled to power wash the paint from the porch and steps. The team went over the area again and did make more progress than we had. We chose an opaque stain because some of the paint would not be removed.
To save costs we chose to paint the ceiling ourselves. Luckily Open Door Homes had color matched some paint for us on an earlier project, so it was easy to continue matching the color of our trim.

Project went well. Took about three days, to allow for priming and painting dry times. Crew cleaned up well after the project. We are very happy with the quality of the gutters and downspouts. We received the left over color-matched paint and primer, which has been helpful in other projects around the house. 
The only thing we might have done differently would be to discuss ahead of time places where downspouts could have been tied together. There are a couple places where it might have been convenient to tie two downspouts together.
