At the beginning, my encounter and experience with Meier's moving and storage was positive.  The interaction with the owner, Rod was pleasant.  The day his moving team came to load my belongings went well.  They were on time, took care in wrapping my furniture and were professional.  The next day they arrived at my new home to unload.  They were late in arriving and didn't have as many people to help as they did the day before.  The day started out smoothly, however, it was hot out and the movers did not come prepared.  They had no water and at one point asked me to leave and get lunch for them.  This was fine, however, while I was gone there was no one at the house to direct where things needed to go.  When I asked the movers to relocate things and place them where I wanted them to go, the head mover became impatient as he was ready to get on the road.    I had several items damaged during the move.  The owner has taken no responsibility nor has offered any compensation for repair.  Before items are loaded on the truck, an inventory is done on the condition of each item.  The damage received during the move was not logged on the inventory sheet, providing clear evidence it occurred during the move.  It is very disappointing the owner takes no responsibility and I question why he even bothers with this process if it is not going to be reviewed when an item is damaged.   I would not use this company again for this reason.
