Mary Hutchison - Better Homes and Gardens

It went better than I could have imagined. We had our old Brookside house for a long time and I had always feared I'd have trouble selling it because there was a bit of deferred maintenance. Well, Mary hooked us up with a great handyman and helped us declutter. She worked with a stager (at no additional charge to us) who made the house look great. We ended up selling our house in two days for more than we paid. When it came time to buy, we had a tight window to find something. Mary showed us every house that we asked her about, even when she knew it wasn't right for us. She explained things to look for and pointed out things we might not like. She was so patience as we looked, because I looked at quite a few that weren't right for me because I wanted to stay in a particular neighborhood. We ended up finding one in a different neighborhood that we liked a lot. Even then, Mary didnt rush me. She worked to make sure I was satisfied before finalizing everything. She answered every question we had (and we had plenty), she returned every email and every phone call. I would for sure work with her again, but I love my new house so much, I doubt we will be moving any time soon.

Mary was very professional, very helpful, explained everything, and sold my house in 10 days!

Mary was very attentive, always available when needed. She has grant knowledge of the month in the KC-aran , she goes about and beyond throughout.

Mary was recommended by our son, as she helped him and his wife find a home in the Fairway area.  She talked to us about what we wanted and warned us homes like what we wanted were hard to come by.  She never showed any impatience with our requests and never lost her enthusiasm for our house hunt.  We house hunted for about 3 months before finding our home.  We still keep in touch with Mary .

Mary is wonderful! We first met her at an open house and liked her personality and energy. When I became serious about buying a house, I went to Angie's List, and she was at the top of the list! She has always been very responsive, professional and hard working. When we finally found a house we wanted to put an offer on, she really helped us through the process patiently. My husband and I got know her very well in the last year, and we will definitely use her again if/when we sell our house.

Mary helped my kids and me buy the perfect house for our family.  Since she made an extraordinary effort to get to about know us and our preferences, the time we spent looking at homes was super efficient.  She was very available and responsive to our requests to see particular homes.  When we found the right house, her knowlege of the local real estate market was crucial to our making an offer which worked well for us and was successful.  Between the offer and closing, Mary provided us updates and really helped facilitate the communication of all parties.  We are very pleased and thankful we found her!

Let me start by saying that you absolutely cannot go wrong with Mary Hutchison as your Realtor. My wife Missy and I have known her personally for several years and she helped us sell our first home and buy our current home in Prairie Village. She has also helped other friends of ours and she is the first person we refer when someone is looking for a Realtor. 
She is professional, committed, has EXCELLENT follow up skills, truly wants to find the right house for her clients, and knows, among others, the Prairie Village/Leawood/Brookside/Overland Park areas well. 
Her turnaround time is excellent and she is always available and willing to answer any questions you may have. She truly enjoys educating her clients and making them comfortable about the home buying and selling process. Additionally, once you've found a home, she does a great job of staying in touch AFTER the purchase and is always dropping off chocolates for Valentine's Day, small gifts at Christmas, etc. That personal touch is definitely appreciated. 
Mary also did a great job with us once we found a house to help set up all of the necessary appointments for inspections, etc. and worked hard to get us quality referrals for work that needed to be done. 
Be sure to ask Mary about the interview process I put her and other Realtors through when we were looking for our second home! It wasn't easy..and she won hands down!l

Mary came highly recommended by a friend who had worked with her to buy and sell a house a few years ago.  She was great to work through the whole process. We had a wonderful experience with Mary. I found her through a random Google search for a real estate agent specializing in the Brookside neighborhood. We were moving from out-of-state, and have limited knowledge of the area. I had read online that Brookside was a lovely, walkable neighborhood, so that was the area we primarily wanted to shop in. Mary runs a blog about the Brookside neighborhood, so I thought she would be a good bet.
We had limited amount of time to shop, only 4 days, and Mary accommodated us wonderfully, she cleared her schedule, and worked very hard for us those 4 days! She picked us up at the hotel, and toured us around the area. She was a spectacular ambassador for Kansas City. She carefully planned out our house shopping schedule, so we could be as efficient as possible. 
In the end, we found a lovely house in Brookside, and Mary helped us negotiate an excellent price! We were not able to be back in town for our inspection, so we arranged to Skype the inspection. Mary carried her iPad and followed the inspector around, and we were able to view the inspection and ask questions live via Skype. It was an excellent arrangement, and Mary was flexible and excited to use new technology. 
Closing went smoothly, and when my husband arrived at the house to take possession, Mary had left a welcome box with helpful items such as a roll of toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, snacks, etc. It was so thoughtful of her, since my husband had a long road trip and the moving truck wasn't arriving until the next day.  
In summary, Mary is an excellent agent to work with and she especially is knowledgeable of the Brookside neighborhood, as she is a long-time resident and very active in her neighborhood association. I strongly recommend her as an agent, especially if you are from out-of-state and need an experienced and thoughtful Realtor.
