Macconnell Automotive Company (MAC)

Having Recently Purchased a used truck via private sale, I decided it would need some serious work. I researched several sources and was sure after several "experts" has listened to the engine that I would have to spend MUCH money to get the vehicle running right. This is the point when I was ready to sell get rid of the thing that I got a letter (yes a letter) in the mail along with MAC's business card. "I am a new mechanic who has only just opened my doors" it said. "I offer the latest technology and free estimates" it said; among other tantalizing statements. I decided any mechanic who would take the time to send out mailers deserved a chance. I called the shop but got no answer. Five minutes later my phone rang.

The mechanic said he had time and If I wanted to bring the truck over he would take a look right away. After he pointed out the various failures and explained what was happpening with my engine, we went inside to discuss my options. He priced several possible solutions and advised me how long each would take along with letting me know the potential implications of each. The most pressing problem was that I had two cylinders misfiring and needed spark plugs. I went and purchased the items and brought them back to the shop since it would be faster that way. Mark had one of his assistants give me a ride to my house then 2 hours later delivered my truck (again at no additional cost) along with instructions like you'd get from a doctor. "use one bottle of injector cleaner and call me if there are any problems". 
My pick-up has plenty of power now, and I have a lot of faith in the new mechanic in town. Throughout the entire interaction both Mark and his assistant were very professional, courteous, and friendly. They were sensitive to my budget as well as upfront and honest about my truck's needs and the potential costs involved. I would recomment the  MAC to anyone who needs auto service.
