The service was excellent. They were knowledgeable in detecting and solving the problem. They came promptly and when they said they would. They responded rapidly to the phone call.

I called to see if they could help me in determining the correct lighting for a piece of glass art work. I explained in detail what I expected from them to show me what my lighting options were (light the piece from below or above? what about side lighting?). Their response was positive and they could see me quickly. He did not bring ANY of the equipment that I had asked about to see the effect of different lighting -- he used MY ladder and MY flashlight. Charged for his "experience" -- not mentioned in the phone call. Had to pay everything upfront. Installation didn't happen for over a month and took 2 trips because the unit that goes in the attic was the wrong size. The fixture does not light the glass in the way he described (so much for "experience"!). Follow up: I was clear to the installer (hired through Wilson lighting) that the lighting was disappointing and not what I expected. After the poor experience, I waited a week for some reponse from Wilson lighting before making a report to Angie's list. I wrote the report on Friday. On the following Monday (Columbus day -- holiday?), I got a call from George saying that he understood that I was unhappy about the lighting. That information either came from Angie's list or the installer, Steve Stone. George was VERY prompt about coming out and offering to "make things right". The lighting has been corrected to my satisfaction with no additional cost to me. The service, etc AFTER the bad report was written was superior. I would still look for someone else to do future work. The inital service was poor with some hidden cost. And it shouldn't take over a week for them to contact the customer to correct a problem.

Darlene told me originally that the fan installation would be $25 trip charge and $50 to install. I told her that there wasn't any electricity in the place I wanted the fan. She then said that the installation price would be $125. I called two days later on Feb. 22 to ask why I'd not been called regarding the installation. She said that the installer had been out with the flu. I said I would wait to the following week. Today, Feb. 27, I called. Darlene wasn't in. I talked to Lisa, the service manager. She said that they didn't run lines, that if I needed a line to be run I'd have to call an electrician. I asked why I hadn't been told this and she said she didn't know what I'd been told by Darlene but that they didn't run lines. I said I had my own electrician and would call him and it would've been nice to know this on 2/20. Lisa said she didn't understand why Darlene didn't tell me this. I replied that Darlene was evidently more interested in the sale.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH WILSON LIGHTING WAS REALLY GOOD. I WAS EXPECTED TO BE SHUNNED AWAY BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF MONEY TO SPEND, BUT WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO RECEIVE TOP-NOTCH SERVICE. THEY HELPED ME PUT TOGETHER A REAL MODERN LOOKING CEILING FAN AND LIGHT FIXTURE FOR PENNIES. IT WAS GREAT!
