Description of Work: I knew from reading ratings on Angie's List that I would have to wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment with Thompson's, but it was well worth the wait! I had three clocks that needed work. The first is my grandfather's, father's and now my grandfather clock which had broken a chain and I didn't know if the missing links were accounted for or inside the works. The second is an antique grandfather clock inherited from my late aunt, which was essentially pieces inside a box and very top heavy. The third was a mantle clock inherited from my great-great grandmother which had been only an ornament on the mantle as both my parents and my aunt had been told the clock could not be repaired. My grandfather's grandfather clock was up an running by the first visit. It took taking the works of the mantle clock in for repair and a couple of visits to get the antique grandfather clock working correctly. Thompson's took care of everything! All three clocks are working and I feel like I have honored those who have gone before by having the clocks repaired so that future generations can enjoy them.

Description of Work: They took a little clock that was an artistic type thing that wasn't working and they were going to try and find a replacement part for it and couldn't. It isn't a strike against them, they tried.
