They're okay. There's just some things they can't atoll. Their pricing is so competitive. Their service is fine. When I go in there, they're trying hard.

I spend about twenty dollars every three months. It is a prepay phone. I just pay for the amount of minutes I am going to use a month. The connection is good. It is the cheapest. I don't use texting or data. I just make phone calls.

I had two issues with the service:
1. No tower coverage in my area. Even though the show cell coverage in my area, I would only get 1 bar or none, so I had a lot of dropped calls. Unreliable.
2. Getting support from vendor is painful. You get the run around with the different menus in the phone. Finding a real person to talk to is very hard.

I pay monthly and get unlimited minutes of talks, unlimited data, and unlimited texting. I don't have too many problems, but they don't have their own towers. It depends on each phone, so, I can tell you that we recently spent time in Tennessee and the part of it, I got absolutely no service. I don't get them everywhere, there are some issues. The biggest problem I have with them is that they automatically debit my payment every month. They start sending me e-mails like five days early, telling me they're going to debit my account. They could send me ten e-mails in a five-day period, so that's a little annoying. I get texts on my phone, and e-mails at home.

I bought the Virgin Mobile Galaxy SII thinking that it had working GPS. However, I was sadly mistaken. When I went on a trip out of the US, I was flabbergasted to find that the GPS doesn't work without WiFi !!! I complained to Virgin Mobile support site and here's their reply: "As we do not provide GPS service, you will not be able to use it while you are within an area with no Wifi service."
In other words, GPS doesn't work when you need it! If you have WiFI, you know where you are. All of the Galaxy SII literature states that it has GPS and works with Google Navigation. Even the lists of questions and answers that the VM web site links to say that the GPS works. Apparently it works for other carriers but somehow it is not activated completely in the Virgin Mobile version of the SII. It needs to have access to location information from WiFi on phone signal. I find that it does work to some extent if you don't have WiFi but do have a good phone connection. This is pretty useless in Michigan, however. There is no service outside of cities and in other countries you won't get a signal.
You can check this for yourself with GPS Status. Turn off WiFi and put it in Airplane mode. You won't ever get a location. When not in Airplane mode, you might get a location if you have a good signal. This is true no matter how Location Services are set up.
Virgin Mobile should find a fix for this problem or let people return phones. Not informing potential buyers up front that GPS only works when you don't need it is false advertising. Until they do something, I strongly advise anyone thinking about buying a Galaxy SII from Virgin to think very carefully before they do. It may be okay if used only in the limited areas with good 4G but that's it.
Only a few big cities have 4G service so this is useless to me in Michigan and elsewhere on the road.

The service of Virgin Mobile of Sprint Nextel was good. We haven't experienced outages for years now. When there's something that needs to be done, sometimes it doesn't go through.

Poorly. Entered in a contract with Sprint around March of 2010. There are now unknown charges and they are removing discounts that were a part of the original contract. Services were fine, but prices should not increase during the course of the contract. When I contacted the company with my complaint I was told that that is how it is and that I could leave if I wanted to. If you don't leave on the right day of the month you will be charged for a whole month.
