I called, left a message with one man with all the details, got a call back from another man and gave all the details again - set up a time for him to come over. Of all the items we needed done the handyman said he could only do two - the bathroom showerhead removal & replacement & fixing the faucte/spigot in the backyard. Initial quote was $100 + we pay for parts. The shower head was fixed fine, but the backyard faucet/spigot was not - in fact he made it worse & broke a pipe! We had to call another service to fix it. He still charged us $80 & then we paid the second company $319 to fix the faucet, including replacement of the line they broke. Am assuming part of the problem was that when he showed up at 11 am he was already drinking beer! Furious.

Sometimes when thing don't go as planned is when you find out how good a company is. The work I had originally asked for them to do- repair wood rot on a bottom sill of a casement basement window was not completed. After seeing the window, they told me they weren't comfortable repairing it. Said the only people that should touch that window is a window company. However, they did spend a significant amount of time showing me several areas on my exterior that need to be addressed, made several small repairs and helped me find someone that could fix my window. I was very impressed with thier honesty and intergrity.

It went great! He showed up on time and got right to work. I bought the sink and faucet with his advice and he installed it. I also had bought the ice maker hose ahead of time as he suggested so that went quickly, too. He even gave me advice on how to get rid of the wasp that was buzzing around in the house (hairspray--it gums up their wings).

Overall Jason Cook, who first looked over the work then came back and did it, was great to work with and did an excellent job. He showed up when he said he would and completed what he said he would do. We were particularly happy about the squeaky floor we had put up with for years. Without damaging the carpeting, he found the joists and nailed down through the carpet in an unobtrusive manner. We were pleased with all of the other work he did, also. After he first put the weather stripping on the front door, it turned out to make the door more difficult to close, so he removed the weatherstripping, found a different type, and installed that. We recommend him.

He arrived a little later than expected, but they did call to let me know when he was coming, so it was not a surprise. After inspecting the area that needed work, he went to the hardware store and paint store to get supplies. He arrived about an hour later and the work took about 3.5-4 hours. He replaced the rotting wood and sanded, primed, and painted the exterior wood as I had requested. While he was tearing out the exterior, rotting wood, the wood on the inside of the door started to crack and the paint chipped. After completing the exterior work he did come inside and fix the inside. He repaired the crack and chipped paint, and also fixed the other side which my husband had tried to do himself a year prior (but my hubby didn't do a very good job! ha!). He cleaned up everything and also put down plastic in my foyer so no paint would get on my hardwood floors, which I really appreciated. Overall, I am pleased with the work and will probably use this company again for future odd jobs.

This company is the reason I joined Angie's List. All he did was break up the concrete and put a new step on top of it. He charged me a lot, and I feel like he overcharged me but I paid the full amount anyway.

Terry was an A+ professional. I purchased the exterior doors and side light seperately and had him install them. When he came to replace them we discovered that on the old door the side light was attached so Terry had to spend extra time to make them work. He also pointed out wood rot and took the time to correct the situation rather than just replacing the doors. He also hung several light fixtures which we could not reach with our ladders. He did an nice job and was extremely professional.

I sent pics and a request for an estimate to the email listed and didn't get a response in a couple of days, so I called. My call was returned promptly. The handyman came the next day to give me an estimate and did the repair the following day. The work and service was good and I would call them again for handyman work.

The directions were very complicated and they turned out to not be for that armoire at all. Because he is a master craftsman, he was able to figure out the assembly without the directions. The first one took around 4 hours and he was able to finish the other in an hour. He did a beautiful job on both of them. It took his expertise, I would never have gotten it on my own. I was very happy with him and will certainly use him again.

He did get the grill to work for us. He was nice and efficient, and I don't believe that he gouged it. They were very responsive. The guy showed up in a very timely fashion to fix the grill. We are happy with how everything went.

Very good. In fact, Don corrected issues with a door that Case Handyman Co. supposedly fixed for which they charged me $600...it never worked right.

The gentleman they sent out, Herb, was excellent. He was very nice and estimated the job quickly. He was in and out. He completed the job in about 6 or 7 hours. He was very good. The price was very reasonable.

We found him in the magazine and decided to use him. He had a coupon that he honored, from the book. His estimate was higher than what he charged, because he ended up using less than he first thought. He did a great job.
