After struggling for three weeks with a more geographically convenient store, consulted Pool & Patio. One water analysis, chemistry recommendation, and two days later water was clear and beautiful.

I recommend this pool service to any and everyone. I bought this house last May and this is my first experience owning and running any kind of pool or spa. The former owners told us they had them do all there work for 10+ years so I did not hesitiate tool call them out after I moved in. Although it was a peak time and it was kind of hard to schedule they were more than happy to send a tech out it took about a week from the time I called for them to have an opening. Either way the tech came out explained the pool system and how it worked very informative and polite and didn't talk down or make me feel inferior because I knew nothing about pools. He showed me how to keep it up and clean. I must say it worked great kept it clean and balanced all season after he explained it to me. The opening this year was a little rough on my part did not know I was supposed to raise water level but the great techs there were more than patient with me even though they had to come out three different times that afternoon first off I wasn't home when they showed up my fault got stuck in traffic. Second I had two broken parts that I didn't know about but the tech said run up to the store and get it and I'll come back so we can get this open today for you. The last time I had the water level up the parts I needed to fix it and they came back about an hour later and finally opened the pool after many tries. Either way great techs nice and informative office staff and completely satisfied with the work and service they provided.

It was fine.  They show up on time.  Another company that I use to use was hit and miss.  They do a good job. They are professional.

I spoke with Daniel (P&P service manager) several times dating back to January, to schedule pool opening on May 9th.  Also dating back to January I called to discuss and schedule a leak repair and installing a timer.  P&P did come out and report that the leak was coming from pool light.  For the past several months I have been contacting Daniel and reminding him of the leak repair and timer that I wanted installed on or before opening.  Daniel said that I would be better off purchasing a timer from Home Depot because it would be cheaper.  I said I was not concerned with the price and that I just wanted them to take care of it.  P&P opened my pool and did not fix the leak and did not install a timer.  I spent thousands of gallons filling the pool only to find that it would just leak out around the light conduit that P&P was aware of.  I contacted P&P and Daniel gave me the run around on how his guys didn't see a leak and had several excuses.  He also said they were too busy to fix it now it would more than a week (1.5 or 2 weeks out...I can't remember) before he could send someone out.  I called back and spoke to Lou (Owner).  Lou was apologetic and sent someone out.  I had the pool drained below the light and was preparing to fix the leak myself.  The pool tech (Troy) said he did not want to get in the water to fix the leak and he would prefer to do it with the pool filled when the water is clear and warm.  Unfortunately the water leaks out and filling it was incredibly counterproductive and expensive.  I successfully fixed the leak myself.  Spent a fortune refilling the pool and am learning how to open a pool on my own.  I relied on P&P to support my first year with a pool and am more than disappointed.  Overall I would say I was charged $300 to remove and bag my pool cover.  I anticipate another excuse responding to this review.  Just be warned that they will tell you one thing, not do it, then tell you they are too busy to do it when you inquiry.

Their communication was excellent and they answered all questions very willingly.  Scheduling was very easy with them. Their professionalism and punctuality were both excellent and we would recommend them to others.

They now seem to care only about commercial accounts.  Prices way too high and work is sloppy.  Office has a don't care attitude.  We switched to another firm that we are very happy with.  Won't use Pool and Patio again.  We were a very good customer for over ten years so it took a lot for us to  change.

Used these guys last year to close the pool.  They didn't clean it up before putting the cover on and left all the debris in the pool.  I had asked them to do the clean up but they said it needed to be emptied and pressure washed at opening so I thought that sounded ok.  This year, scheduled them to come on June 6 but did not arrive till June 8.  No problem we weren't in a huge rush but didn't call to let us know they weren't coming or when to expect them.  When they showed up they were supposed to do all the above and did.  However, they were supposed to come back when the pool was full to vaccum, add chemicals, etc.  No one told us we were to call them when it was full, have never had to do this with other pool companies, and since there was no communication we thought they were going to come back on their own.  They didn't.  About two weeks later they finally called to see if the pool was full.  Of course we said it was but would need more work now due to the debris now in the pool from rain.  The person I spoke with counseled me that we should have been taking care of the pool ourselves all along and owned some of the responsibility for the pool not being ready to use.  No arguement there except that we were under the impression that they were going to take care of our pool, so we didn't and neither did they.  Scheduled another time for them to come out to finish the job.  Again they did not show up when scheduled and didn't call to say they weren't coming.  When I initially called to set up the opening I was told weekly pool service was available which I said I wanted.  I assumed that this would start after the opening of the pool which is one reason we didn't do anything ourselves.  When I called to see why they hadn't come the second time I was told that they would be out "soon" and oh by the way it is a 30 minute drive to my place and they just don't have a crew that could come from Overland Park to Kansas City, Kansas.  Had there been better communication I would have been able to find another company sooner.

I would highly recommend them.  The guy that came out showed us what to try and told us what the options would be.  He spent over an hour with us, he was very professional, and he was very helpful.  It is a local company and I would absolutely use them again.

I called them because I thought that our regular pool guy couldn’t come this year. They got my appointment scheduled real fast, but I didn’t use them. They were very popular and were real full. They knew what they were doing. They were a little high priced on weekly maintenance. Their price now seemed pretty competitive. Their quality of work was excellent.

The work was delayed a bit by weather since rain would damage wet plaster. Once started, however, the work progressed at the expected rate. The workmen were meticulous in removing the old plaster and repairing damage.
