Done on time at the estimated price. This last time, I took in thin flat screen TV that had been knocked over. They checked it, told me it would cost more to fix than a new one, advised me on new purchase possibilities and charged me nothing. Great company.

They knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it right away.

Actually, they could not find anything wrong and that is why I rated them high. They could have and I wouldn't have known. I don't recall if there was a charge to check it out but I don't think so. They were nice to work with and I would recommend them.

I contacted Overland TV when my TV went out last week. I contacted Overland because they are an authorized factory repair facility for the TV and the ratings on Angie's list. They were very good at setting up an appointment at my convenience. They diagnosed the problem quickly ordered the new part and returned to repair the TV. In addtion to fixing that problem they also fixed a long standing problem with the volume related to the cable box and greatly improved the picture quality of the TV over what it was before. I would strongly recommend there services.

Gave good honest advise and every option before repairing. Would use again.

They were fixing my television. They sold us a $300 lamp and that was not the problem with the tv. It was a spinning wheel. They could not get the part in. I can understand if they can't get the part. They also would not take the lamp back knowing that we never used it and it was not installed. We also tried to call the owner in regards to the lamp and they will not return our calls. I had used them in the past and they were very good.

Overall, they were helpful and friendly. How it works is they will take your TV for a $45 diagnosis fee which will apply to the repair. If the repair is over $120, they will call you with a quote. My TV is about 5 years old and needed a part replaced for a total of $180. I decided not to have them do the repair. Once I got it home, I did some internet searching and found the part for $35. The diagnosis was worth it but prior to authorizing repair and if you are adventurous, research the part online. I was even able to find a video at shopjimmy.com that walked me through the steps.

Everything went as expected.

Repair specialist on time for initial appointment, pleasant and efficient. Identified the problem, which required a replacement part which needed to be ordered, so he fixed problem temporarily while ordering. When the part was available, he returned at the scheduled time, and completed the work. While he was here, he also explained to me how to bring a different part into the shop for repair when/if it was ever needed and avoid another service call. Very satisfied; certainly will use again if necessary.

Repair took about 5 days from the point the TV was left at the shop and was ready by the date promised. The shop was very professional and courteous.

I had Overland TV come out and give me an estimate or repairs to 2 televisions. I felt like there price was competitive and that the service person who was at my house was very knowledgeable. At the time, I decided not to get them repaired. About a year or so later, I called them and asked them to give me a time that they could come and repair my televisions, I had to leave a message for the owner. I never heard from him. I called 3 other times and each time I was told someone would call me back. I never heard from anyone. I personally would not use them again based on the principal that they must have not valued my business.

Dropped off the TV and after a couple of days they called up with the diagnosis of a bad board. Gave a price to fix it and I gave an OK to proceed. After about a week they parts came in and they repaired it. The call came saying it was ready.

Ask if the repair is something you can do yourself. IN OUR CASE, IT WAS.

The service was quick and as per the estimate. I was very satisfied and will refer others.

They required a $45 deposit -- to be applied to repairs, or if unrepairable, they keep. If less than $125 repair they ask up front if ok to go ahead instead of waiting on call and call back. Mine was more, so they called, gave estimate, explained they would have to order the parts and to expect 2 - 4 days for the parts to come in. I actually got the TV back on the 4th day it was out. Because it was a Phillips, they would not come to my home, by the way (for most models they will). But it wasn't that hard to load it even though it's 47", and they were quick to help me unload and reload after repair.

It went great. The service man was quick and courteous.

The repairman replaced the DMD chip on a board in a short time. The TV is working great.

The experience went very well. From the person who greeted me when I arrived at the store to the technician I talked to and then when I picked up the t.v. two days later. Everyone was nice and knowledgeable.

They were knowledgeable and they had parts that I don't think I would have been able to find otherwise.

We had the cable guy come out and hook it up. It was in a downstairs bedroom. Three or four days later we turned on our big screen TV which was also downstairs and it didn't work. We couldn't understand why so we had to find a TV repairman. They were excellent. Steven, a young guy, came out and he couldn't find what the problem was. I happened to mention that we had bought a new TV and the cable company had hooked it up a few days before. He went into the basement where all the hookups and cables were and he discovered that they had completely screwed up everything. He spent time putting it all back to the way it should have been and everything worked when he left. The price was well worth it. He was a gentleman. He was in his late 20's. He knew what he was doing and he didn't give up. He was going to find the reason even when the reason wasn't jumping at him or us on why this big screen wasn't working because everything he checked was working. He found the problem that the cable company had caused. We called the cable company and they reimbursed us what he charged. They were upset that we called a TV repairman before we called them. I told them it wasn't the programming and that it was the TV that was not working. The cable company was not happy at all. The price the TV repair company charged was an average service call. I would call them again in a heartbeat. We actually had him out a second time because we had some problem with the programming. He was the most patient person. He is not going to leave until he finds the problem and fixes it. I highly, highly recommend the company.

They were wonderful. Mitsubishi provided the part for it. It took a little while but everything worked out well. They were very professional and really helped me and saved me a lot of money. The TV looks great and they are very honest.

I first called the store requesting in-home service on my DLP television as I was not getting a picture due to a lamp that had burnt out. It is a 62 inch television that weighs approximately 100+ pounds so taking it to the store was not a convenient option for me. After explaining my issue to the store employee, I was advised that a technician could come out to replace the lamp but it was recommended to me that I replace the lamp myself to save approximately $100 that it would cost for the service fee. I was told replacing the lamp was a fairly easy process and they would provide direction on how to do so. Since I was also having an issue with an HDMI port that was not working, I decided to go ahead and have a technician come to my home to diagnose that issue as well as replace my lamp. I was then able to schedule an appointment the very next day at a convenient time for me. The next day, the technician called ahead, before his arrival, to confirm the appointment and then arrived on schedule. He was a very courteous and knowledgeable individual who replaced the lamp in a timely manner. He then showed me the expired projection bulb and explained why it had failed and explained the normal life span of a projection bulb. He also gave me directions on how to change the bulb if it ever needed to be changed in the future to save money on the service fee. The technician was then able to diagnose the issue with my inoperable HDMI port. It turned out that due to a power surge, the HDMI port was damaged and needed to be replaced. I was given the estimate on how much it would cost to replace the port which was quite pricy as it involved replacing a board inside the television. Without any pressure to perform the service, the technician and I both agreed that seeing as how I had several other operating ports available, replacing the HDMI port was not really necessary considering the price.

They promised me they could fix my out of warranty TV in 5 business days. I picked it up on the 3rd business day. They are friendly and professional.

Our TV went on the blink. We looked up TV repair in Angie's List and found that Overland TV performed in home repairs and had received excellent ratings for their service. We called them and were told that they would come out to the house but there would be a trip charge of about $79. Since it was a large set, we agreed, and they were able to schedule the work the next day. The repairmen arrived at our house well within the time span promised and quickly identified the problem. He had the correct part on his truck and quickly restored the set to working order. He wrote out a detailed invoice explaining the charges and what work was performed, and gave my wife the defective part in a plastic bag. My wife reports that he was extremely polite and professional in every respect and was very pleased and impressed with the service Overland TV provides.
