This is a convenient rebate offer because the items are purchased locally and drop-shipped to your location. Therefore, no fighting to get a few items from inventory and you don't have to carry three big boxes home. The Office Depot staff were friendly and very efficient and writing up the order. The items arrived sooner than promised and in good condition. However, I will mark them down in my ratings because Office Depot's rebate service tried to deny my claim to their $150 portion of the rebates (HP promptly paid two additional rebates for their portion). Office Depot's denial said that I didn't purchase at one of their stores, although I did. But since their receipt is from "Techdepot," an Office Depot company, the rebate was rejected. I had to call them to dispute, and they immediately approved and submitted, although I had to wait another several weeks to receive the refund. Checking the Internet, it appears I'm not the only person the've done this to.

The items were not delivered in the agreed upon specified time period. I called their 800 number and was told that they were running late and the items would be delivered 'soon'. At 3pm of that day, I called the 800 number again and was told that they were 'on their way' and would be there soon. At 4pm I called the 800 number and was told that I was next on the list to be delivered. At 5pm I called the 800 number. They put me on hold and said they had talked to the store and they said they would deliver the items that day by 7pm. They did not. I called the 800 number at 7pm and he finally told me they had gone home for the day and would contact me to re-schedule the delivery. I told him I wanted to cancel the order. He said he could not do that. The next morning at 9am [the store's opening time] I was there and cancelled the order. They did not know what happened to the order and said the 800 people did not talk to them the day before at all. I am finished with them.
