Juan looked at patio and said he would write up an estimate and get back to me, never responded. Contacted Juan about front stamped concrete problem. Said he would come by after work, never showed and would not commit on a time. Next morning asked if he could come after lunch, never showed and would not set a time. First time I ever experienced flat out lies with a contractor.

An estimate for this job was provided quickly and professionally, however, I selected a different contractor. I shall keep the contact information on file for future needs.

Nice people but they had a $3500 minimum

The project was done quickly and looks great. The entire crew was courteous and hardworking. They took pride in their work. They completely cleaned up the site when they finished. We love how it looks!

Everything went very well. Listened to what we wanted and delivered exactly what was contracted. The front porch was removed and a new, larger porch poured in its place, along with the sidewalk leading from the driveway to the porch. The deck on the back of the house was removed, the existing patio beneath the deck was demoed and a new larger patio was poured. The specific design requested was laid out and verified with us and then the patio was poured. They got most of the work done in 1 day, putting several folks on the project who worked hard to get the project looking great. Final touches added a few days later. Looks great and works wonderfully.

They were very professional

It was great from beginning to end. Caleb gave me a quote on the spot. The whole team was great and professional. They treated my yard great. They were about in the middle as far as price but it was worth it as the patio looks amazing. Juan and Miguel were top notch!

We were very pleased with them. We had several estimates and his was the most reasonable, and he did a really good job. Considering what they had to work with, I think they did exceptionally well. It seems like it took a day and a half to complete, something like that. Actually, it was just the person that started the company, he’s the only one I dealt with. He had a helper that day, but he’s the only one I talked to. They cleaned up the area very well. They do really good work for a very fair price.

Extremely well

Everything went extremely well! Everyone involved worked diligently and effectively to produce a beautiful improvement to our back yard. Caleb and Juan were extremely responsive to every request and comment we made. We had a deadline to meet for an event at our home and they finished everything earlier than expected. All of the men were polite, hard working and skilled. We could not be happier with the end result. They made a 20 year dream come true and we are very grateful?

Caleb came out promptly and as scheduled to look at what we wanted to have done. We also talked about a backyard patio/fire pit as well. He said he would send an estimate by email but never did. Has been 4 weeks now since he was here. I left several voicemail messages for him, also talked to the owner Juan twice, who assured me they'd get a bid to me....never heard back from either one of them and never received a bid for any of the work. Too bad, I was excited to work with them and am very disappointed in their lack of response.

The guys and gal working on it were professional and so kind when I had questions. Juan and his team are great!

The process went perfect! Caleb was very easy to work with, he was on time and professional. He explained everything they would be doing and explained it would be very difficult to match the color of my existing concrete, which I understood. The two guys that actually did the repairs were very meticulous in their work. They did a fantastic job and matched the color better than I had expected. Miguel even came back on a Friday evening to do more touch up then came back that Saturday to finish it. He was so conscientious about trying to match the color as best he could and make sure everything was perfect. He even gave me extra of the color in case I needed it in the future. These guys take a lot of pride in their work and it shows. I couldn't be happier!!

They showed up on time as promised. The two men who did the majority of the job, Miguel and Topo were very professional and extremely hard workers. They did a wonderful job that myself and wife will admire for years to come. They brought the job in on time and on budget. Calib the sales manager was able to meet our expectations 110%.

The entire process was great. I got 4 bids off of angies list and decided to go with Modern Concrete because of their respect for my time (Caleb showing up when he said he would), their work in the past (facebook and website), and their price. Caleb (sales) was responsive and on time for appointments. Juan and his crew were always on time and made sure we were happy with the patio and how it turned out. We had a rainy month of May, but Caleb was able to manage our job and we didn't slide more than one week from anticipated date of the job. Very happy with the way the patio turned out. They even came back out to touch up some spots that didn't accept the finishing seal as good. It looks great!

Caleb (sales) was very easy to work with.  We weren't sure of exactly what we wanted or what was possible, and he gladly took the time to gather our input and suggest various ideas/alternatives.
Juan and crew detailed, friendly and punctual.  The entire job was finished in less than two days.  They left the job site very clean.

I hired Modern Concrete to tear out and replace a concrete patio under my deck.  I setup the job with Caleb, the sales manager, who was very knowledgable and he was able to schedule the work in a few weeks while other companies were too busy to even talk to me.  The job only took one day as he brought the right number of people and professional equipment.  The crew did a great job with the patio, were careful not to damage my yard, and they cleaned up the worksite.  We were happy with the result! 

He came out last month sometime and he was great. Caleb was amazing.

Juan and his crew did a great job and did very little to disturb the area around the worksite. We are very happy with the patio. We would not hesitate to hire Modern Concrete for future jobs.

Juan and Modern Concrete actually did the job as a subcontractor for another provider we initially found on Angie's. In the end we were extremely happy with Juan and his crew. Extremely efficient, quality work. We had spent a significant amount of time and money fixing our grass the fall before, and they did not hurt the yard at all. We were pretty worried about this as the patio was in the backyard and they had to move the rock, forms, concrete and everything else back there. The entire job took two days which was impressive for the size of project. Everything was left clean and neat just as it was found. The did an excellent job tearing out the sod so that when they were done the grass went right up to the patio(no backfilling or reseeding was necessary). The stamped concrete came out amazing.
I was so pleased with Juan's work that I recommended him to a co-worker that ended up using him as well (He was extremely satisfied also). He went on and on at work about how Juan helped him come up with design ideas that would help him save money and improve the look. My co-worker is not on Angie's list or he would have a glowing review as well. Overall, between my coworker and myself we met with and received quotes from a number of the providers on here and Juan's prices were much better than anyone else(almost to the point of worrying about what you would get). But the end product is more than impressive. Can't recommend them enough.
Sidenote: the other provider that sub-contracted to Juan I could not find on here anymore. I'm not sure why as our experience with him was not a bad one and would have gave him a good review as well, but not as good as Juan as him and his crew were definitely the highlight of the job

Caleb was quick to come out for an estimate and had lots of design ideas in mind.  The Modern Concrete quote was in line with the 3 other bids we received for the project.  We were impressed with how quickly they were able to get us on the calendar.  Even with the rainy spring weather, we were able to have the project completed from contact signing to payment in less than 3 weeks.  The patio and sitting wall are visually beautiful and, thus far, are holding up well.  The only minor complaint we have is that communication via voicemail and email was very slow.  The best chance for a prompt response for us, came from direct contact via telephone.
