MidAmerica Tint is your window tinting specialist for you vehicle, home, or business. Located conveniently in Overland Park, KS we have been serving the entire Kansas City metro area tinting the windows of homes and businesses to help with privacy and lower heating and cooling bills. We also do automotive tint to help your car, truck, or SUV stay cooler in the summer and not as cold in the winter. We have been serving the area since 1993 and we have an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau, so you know you can count on us! Tinting Services Provided include, but is not limited to - • Automotive window tinting • Residential home window tinting • Commercial business window tinting • Decorative Films • Safety and Security Window Film For the vehicle tinting services we provide, we have our clients drop off their vehicle at our office at a scheduled time, and we typically have your vehicle for 2-3 hours. At that time, we ask our customers not to roll down their windows for 3 days and by that time any haziness in the windows will dissipate. It will also take 30 days for the film to fully cure. Have had problems with response to calls and the warranty company aspect of fixing the windows.  Don't know where the communication breakdown occurred but between the warranty company, the glass company and the tinting company it took a long time ( 2 months +) to get the windows replaced.  The good part was that the seals were broken on all three windows which was covered under the warranty so we were pleased to know that.  The difficult part was actually all of the pieces coming together. We are waiting now for the retinting of the windows and we really could tell a difference when the windows were tinting. It kept a lot of heat out.

The installer was very professional, neat and clean. He set up a small work station in my garage to trim the window film and then installed the window film on each of the windows. It took about 4 hours to complete the job and even though the tint from the outside looking in is a little darker than I thought it would be, I can certainly feel the difference when the sun hit that side of the house in the afternoon. I know this will reduce the use of the a/c and also reduce the electric bills. I also get a tax credit since the film is energy star rated.

THIS WAS A REPLACEMENT OF TINTING THAT HAD BEEN REMOVED SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE. THE WINDOWS WERE EXTREMELY LARGE AND WERE CHALLENGING TO COVER EFFECTIVELY. MID AMERICA WAS EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE FROM A PRICE PERSPECTIVE AND WAS RECOMMENDED TO US BY OUR INTERIOR DESIGNER. THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE TO OUR REQUEST FOR AN ESTIMATE AND ACCOMMODATING TO OUR SCHEDULE FOR INSTALLATION. WHEN THEY WERE INSTALLING THE WORK, MY HUSBAND NOTICED SOME BUBBLES IN THE TINTING. THE INSTALLERS WERE NOT VERY PLEASED AT THE FEEDBACK AND WERE SOMEWHAT RELUCTANT TO MAKE THE REQUESTED CHANGES. THEY DID ELIMINATE THE BUBBLES AND THE WORK HAS BEEN SATISFACTORY EVER SINCE.
