They were excellent. They told me what was wrong with my vacuum what it would take to fix it and when it would be ready. They were right on with everything. They were upfront with me and told me what I needed to know.

The overall experience was great! There was a casual/comfortable feel for me in the experience backed up by complete professionalism and "know-how". These are the ONLY guys I'd go back to for vacuum repairs. It is like finding a good, honest mechanic!

I dropped it off on Friday July 3,2009 and it was repaired on Thursday July 9, 2009. I was very pleased with the turnaround time and the price.

Note: This company is located in Kansas City, but their mail-order repair service is available nationwide. There used to be small appliance repair shops in every city, but in our increasingly throw-away society, most have disappeared. Atlanta no longer has any. Still, I'm old-school enough that I prefer to repair old appliances rather than throw them away. The battery in my 18-year-old Norelco shaver would no longer hold a charge. I found Mar-Beck online, and shipped them my shaver to repair, and ordered a new set of cutter heads. They cleaned it, replaced the battery, and shipped it back promptly. It worked fine for one charge, but then again wouldn't hold a charge. I called, expecting the usual runaround, and spoke to Tom who said, "That doesn't sound right; send it back." I did, and Tom called promptly and told me that there was a circuit board problem they had missed the first time, and that the circuit board is no longer available. Before I could say anything, he offered me a choice of a full refund, or applying everything I had paid to the purchase of a new shaver. I asked if I could return the unopened new cutter heads, and he said of course. He then added $10 credit for my shipping costs. I'll never know for sure, but the shaver worked fine when I first got it back. It is at least possible that the circuit board didn't fail until I got the shaver back and put a full charge on the new battery. In that case, Mar-Beck could have argued that the circuit board was a new problem, and disputed any claim I might make. But they didn't do that, they just made it right, fast and cheerfully. This is a small item and a small job, but this level of service is remarkable. As soon as they learned I had a problem, Mar-Beck Appliance immediately offered to correct it, offered more than I would have asked for, and did it cheerfully and without a trace of the defensiveness one too often encounters. I couldn't be more pleased with their service.

Ended up with a new vacuum and they were totally no pressure. The vacuum has a full 5 year warranty and works GREAT!

Marbeck always does a superb job. I purchased a Hoover Wind Tunnel from them (used). It worked wonderfully for several years, and then needed work on the transmission that drives it forward. Marbeck performed a complete overhaul for $39.99, and included a new wand and completely repaired the transmission.
