JMC Electric specializes in all types of electric work. From a simple outlet repair or replacement to a complete electrical rewire. We are proficient in troubleshooting older wiring systems. If you are looking to add safety and value to your home a service panel upgrade done by JMC Electric will bring you and any future owners peace of mind knowing that all are work is permitted and inspected by city codes and utilities. We also offer a very comprehensive warranty on labor and supplied & installed parts for 90 days; After 90 days we will warranty parts. License, bonded, and insured.

Angie's list deal quoted is $80 service call discounted to $49 with an additional $100 discount off of service performed.  Service tech advised job would take one hour.  Kansas City electrician rates charged by companies are $80-$125 an hour.  With a $100 discount off of the high end of $125 the quote should have been the $49 collected up front plus $25.  I was instead quoted $375 minus $100 discount or $275 for 1 hour of work.  The only positive I can add from this service call is the technician they sent was polite and presented himself in a professional manner. Â
I have built houses in the past and done extensive electrical work myself so I know the tech estimate of 1 hour for work to be performed was accurate for what I wanted done.  JMC appears to be using Angie's list to gain customers then raise their prices above the normal rates to offset any discount they are offering.  I sent them away and wanted to warn Angie's list members to avoid using this provider as what they offered on daily deal vs what they were really willing to do was not only deceptive but  not even in the ballpark of rates charged by union electricians in KC.  They can't justify rates because it was a small job either as hourly travel was already covered.  Extremely disappointed in business tactic employed and would never recommend JMC Electric for anything.

Jacob called two hours before the scheduled time to inform us he was en route. He arrived, diagnosed the problem, and repaired the wall outlet that caused the problem in short order. He was polite, friendly, and professional.
We paid the callout rate and an hour's worth of time, so the cost was minimal. Overall, we were delighted with the response and resolution to our problem.
10/10 will use again.
