JCCC CENTER FOR BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY

The instructor had a good working knowledge of the software and conveyed the information well. Classes use materials from Element-K (www.elementk.com), although I don't know if they are customized to JCCC's spec. Although the classes are offered in the order I took them, it turns out that Interactive Movies should actually be the last class since it builds on some info from the Advanced class. Also, we weren't able to finish the Movies class because there is too much material for just 2 days. On the flip side, the Fundamentals class seemed to drag and apparently used to be a 1-day class that they stretched to 2 days. If you take the classes in the correct order, you'll have to space them out instead of taking them sequentially as offered. The training facility is in an old shopping center north of the library on 87th Street. It's somewhat run-down, although the classroom equipment was first-rate. Bathrooms are somewhat old, and the lunchroom area isn't the best.
