Tom Lawless is quite knowledgeable about many areas of home repair including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and tile work. However, he is extremely careless and often causes damage while carrying supplies in the house or performing his jobs. He gives estimates, but in all cases for us, charged at least twice as much in the end. He seems to keep vague track of his time and charges $60-$70 per hour, including the time he spends correcting his mistakes and damages made by being careless even though he claims he won't charge for repairing them. I would never employ him again, and would advise others, if they choose to use him to get something in writing from him in advance, supervise him at all times, and keep detailed track of time spent.
