The lawn mower purchased on line arrived damaged. Customer service contacted UPS and arranged to pick up the damaged mower. They even offered me a significant discount on the replacement. The replacement arrived intact and has performed well from the first use. After not seeing the credit for the original mower after the second billing cycle, I again contacted customer service to inquire about the receipt of the damaged mower at their warehouse. The customer service rep was very helpful in tracking it down and ensuring that a credit was posted to my Home Depot account.
I have had nothing but good, professional help from my local Home Depot at 9600 Metcalf and I return there often (my wife says too often) to shop and to give our dogs an outing. Home Depot is one of the few stores that allows dogs on a leash and mine enjoy exploring and meeting new people--especially if they offer treats!
Our strong impression is that there is little or no communication between employees at this Home Depot location. We dealt with four millwork specialists over the course of three weeks, and none knew what the other had said or what the individual who measures frames had done or would do. An even greater failure of Home Depot employees to communicate with us during this ordeal indicates a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.
Finally, a complaint to the "Contact Us" icon on the Home Depot website has gone unanswered.
This Home Depot is conveniently located, but that is the only positive thing I can say about it. They have whittled down their available showroom staff to the point that it takes an act of Congress to find someone to help in the window blinds or a similar department. I spent a very frustrating 60-75 minutes recently trying to get help without success; I finally drove 15 minutes to the Lowe's store and spent about $1200 in less than an hour. When I left negative comments on the Home Depot website the next day, I received a voice mail from the store manager asking me to call him back. I did return the phone call, within a couple of hours, but it took him 3 days to call me back. He was full of excuses, but asked me to come back when I needed further supplies for the home that we were rehabbing, and he would "work something out". I chose not to return. No wonder the employees don't take customer service seriously!
very thorough bid and the designer they sent was very professional. In
the end we chose not to use them. Their price was too high and they
required the entire payment upfront prior to any work begun. The only
other option is to finance, but not sure how that would help if
something is not done correctly. Promises to fix any issues would not
be enough for me. I wound up using independent contracts and saved
money and work was great
