I refused their offer and took the computer to a friend. He works in the IT field. He had the computer fixed within an hour. It worked just fine after that.
The date is an estimate. It was a few years ago in the Spring of 2013.
On May 10th my son purchased a Nikon Coolpix s5200 camera. It was defective. He bought it to take pictures at a very special event only to have the pictures come out blurry. I called customer service to get my son's money back because the camera is DEFECTIVE! The customer service rep I talked to refused to tell me how to get my money back. I was told that since it has been past 15 days I had no recourse. He purchased the camera to take pictures of a meeting he had with an archaeologist, geologist and paleontologist. He wanted to document the meeting he had with them to discuss the excavation of a mastodon that he found on a farm we own in northeast Oklahoma. The meeting had been postponed due to weather so he was unable to use the camera until after the 15 day return limit. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor refused to give my son's money back. She also said that she was as high as I could go and that I would have to send a letter to corporate office because she was as high as I could go (the next highest up person was the Vice President and President.). I was also told that your corporate office doesn't have a phone number. With this type of business practice I can see why you would instruct your customer service agents to sputter such tripe. The fact of the matter is I am not stupid. You sold a DEFECTIVE camera and my son deserves his money back. If we do not receive his money back I will be posting a blog on Angie's List as well as contacting the Johnson County District Attorney's Office of Consumer Affairs. It is unconscionable to steal a customer's money this way. I expect a prompt reply to his message. I expect this to be resolved to our satisfaction. Let me clue you in on something...THIS IS A CLASSIC WAY TO LOSE CUSTOMERS. YOU'VE JUST LOST 3. I have neither the time nor the patience for this garbage. SM
